B1 vs A hockey

Post by mrchips » Tue Jan 16, 2018 4:13 pm

Obviously, there are individual PWB1 and BB1 teams that are better than individual PWA and BA teams. But if you took a very good (top 10, but maybe not top 2 state-rated) PWB1 or BB1 team and had them play 20 "A" teams (a mix of good "A" teams and lesser "A" teams), how many would they win? Would a very good B1 team be an average A team?

My answer would be yes, about .500 record if they played a schedule of 20 A teams from across all sections of the state.

hard to look at it as B1 or A. in some associations it means the same thing. The team is made up of Players chosen during tryouts between roughly 16 - 30. some associations choose to label as A some label as B1. Through this classification we have seen A teams beat some AA teams. So obviously some B-1 teams will beat some A level teams.
