To address a number of topics…..

As a varsity football official I get $95 a game. Annual dues to the MSHSL and my local association cost me $160 a year. I also pay my local officials association $2 a game they schedule me. 1 person is paid mileage, it is not me and during Covid restrictions the MSHSL did not up the mileage even though we all had to drive alone. Often I was making less than the Federal Minimum Wage to officiate games. Yet schools, athletes, and fans expect quality officials?
This upcoming season it is proposed I will have to take equity and equality training. Any official who has officiated Minneapolis North with break a hip falling off their chair laughing at that.

Equality does not equal fairness. Why people don’t get this is beyond me. According to MN Hockey a bantam B team in Worthington is the same as a bantam team in Prior Lake!
