I'd take Highland on home ice

Irondale over a less than impressive SW/SLP team
(Was Richfield really that tough? Or was Johnson that good?)

Washburn is the sneak back team

I also heard that there was a meeting tonight to discuss the action against the Johnson Peewee A coach for making a threat to one of the SW/SLP players.

I spoke with a Dad from the Johnson team and he said there was a player for SW/SLP that was going crazy coming on the ice. He was yelling and screaming - normal = crazy for a kid.

The parents in the stands were saying that the player was trashtalking to the Johnson bench and the coach said something back. Maybe thats when the coach got in trouble?

I was at the rink Before, During and After this game and none of the such took place. I've had a discussion with the coach from Johnson, but about topics totally off the games at hand.

Hockeymom69 - you need to stop spreading rumors about things that you JUST HEARD from neither here nor there.

By the way - FEB. 13th 7:00pm Edgecumbe TC District meeting. You should come to the meeting to get all your laundry aired out.

I attended that Johnson/SLP/Sw game. I was in the stands and the SLP/SW parents were down right rude to anyone other than there own parents. I was a neutral person and they asked me what team I was from and said if I was from SLP/SW I have to sit on one side of the red line and if I was from Johnson I had to sit on the other side of the red line. I also seen some parents from SLP/SW causing other incidents. This really suprised me because I read the post about how awful they were treated in the I think Hermantown Touney. (Maybe SLP/SW parents may have caused that problem).
Maybe tonight the SLP/SW parents should rope off there section at Highland.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:">

The thing I heard was that the meeting is for a kicking penalty and as far as a threat the way I heard it the Johnson coach just told the SLP/SW player that he was playing cheap and that he was to good a player to play like that.
As far as the player being wild he was banging his chest like a cave man ran through the lobby got to the door to enter the arena a ran right into the door frame and almost dislocated his shoulder he hit it so hard.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... cypalms at: 2/13/06 11:04 am

Yes, there were some young children there that he almost feel back into. It is great to get fired up to play a hockey game but try and be a little more subdued. Look for this player and see if you can figure which one it is.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... g7stars at: 2/13/06 11:44 am

sorry about that player --- he is a little over the top, to say the least.
"almost dislocating his should" - that is a bit of an exageration as well.

Regarding the parents - All I can do is apologize, if what is said here is accurate. (as always, there are two sides to every story). I don't pay attention to the stands during games, so I really can't say much more.

SLP coach, From what I have seen from the stands you do a good job with your team. But about the dislocating part I still contend he hit the door way that hard.
Good luck coaching these days can't be easy.

No Hockeymom69, I think you mis understood. He did not hit it for fun he accidently ran into the door because he was beside himself snorting and gruting and pounding his chest.

Do you know that the TC district teams sit around for two weeks before play-offs. The TC district just doesn't have 40 teams in each level like most of the other districts.

Hockeymom69 -

There were officials around and we did see what took place. It has been brought up by a few different byestanders and will be discussed tonight at the District board meeting.

This kind of behavior is not tollorated and if action needs to be taken, it will be in within the letter of the law.

I think it is time you get over it.
It's not unsportsmanlike.
Just a 12/13 year old kid - yes, I did say KID, Child, you know, A CHILD.
I'd say it's time you give it a rest.

Little kids or parents or ANYONE for that matter should not be standing in a doorway as players with SHARP SKATES are entering a hockey rink. If this player was putting other people in harms way, there needs to be something done. Its like a player breaking stuff in a lockerroom after being kicked out of a game (only it was before the game).

I can't wait to hear what the district board has to say about it tonight.

Besides the player, looking "stupid" or "immature" to you.
What did he do wrong?
If he wants to as you put it snort as he is going on to the ice, he has every right. If he wants to pound his chest to get him pumped up, there is nothing wrong with that.

What do you expect anyone to say?
So, A 12 year old acted immature. He's 12, that is what 12 year olds do, sometimes that act "stupid and immature," deal with it.

YES, I am going to stand up for one of my players. THAT is what coaches DO!!!

Good for you standing up for your players. So many coaches like to complain how bad their kids are it is refreshing to see a coach stand up for a player. Where are these little kids parents that were standing by the door. Any hockey person knows to stay away from the door as the players go out.

I agree with SLP coach he should stick up for his players I would exspect nothing less. I know the Johnson kid that there is a hearing for tonight has already been convicted without a trial. Some key District people have already told people from SLP/SW and were overheard talking about it that he has been sentenced to a five game suspension when the hearing is tonight. With the way this district reacts to this stuff your player better watch out he might get two games for being a 12 year old.
