Top player is #5 Omdahl. #7 came from Philadelphia, he is small but quick and good hands. Roseau just beat Baudette 6-2 and had 66 shots on goal. Record is now 20-1. Play Warroad in Roseau on Thursday night.

they lost to Stillwater in the Moorhead tourny, overtime, then 5 man shootout, then the sudden death shootout lasted about 6 players.

What's there to be disgraced about losing to Stillwater? They are a good team.

Usa Hockey & MN Hockey do not have shoot out procedures for games - but tourneys are a different breed -
I would consider it a tie (as the HS do) - but the game can stand for itself. tied after reg, tied after OT. Then whatever came next.

Roseau is very good and will probably end up 2nd in D16.

Roseau comes to Bemidji for rematch, Roseau won with a late goal earlier in the year in Roseau.

The game in Bemidji will be one of the better pee wee games of the year is my guess (at least before playoffs start).

Bemdiji has been playing well, Roseau has been playing well.
May come down to goaltending and both are strong.

So Roseau may be the number two team in the district and Bemidji amy be #1.

Of course, that was how it was last year also and they ended up playing for 3rd place.

But if I was going to watch one pee wee game all year, I think this would be the one.

There are several teams in district 16 that could beat Roseau. East Grand Forks, Bemidji, Crookston, and Thief River Falls. They all have very good teams. This is a tough district that gets overlooked.

Elliot, I disagree, Bemidji has great goaltending and Roseau has below average goaltending. I still expect Roseau to win by at least 3 on Friday.

Bemidji pee wee A's.

Post by elliott70 » Mon Jan 16, 2006 2:56 pm

Well I have yet to see the R goalie, but I think from what I have heard is that he must be better than below avg.

Bu twill wait to engage the debate until after I have seen him.

But you are right about good teams in d16.

I alluded to that fact but referencing last year's playoffs.

Warroad & EGF took out the #1 & #2 seeds.

I am not sure if Roseau will win by 3 (I think they can win by 3). Bemidji has been playing very well since the end of Dec. With a big win over Moorhead and all others.

Is the e for Edina?

You do not need to say, but just some advice form an old man.

Instead of posting 'we beat...'

just name the team that beat them, such as
'Edina beat Stillwater ...OR
Stillwater is good but Edina beat tehm twice by scores of..
and I think (put another team in) beat them a weekor so ago.

That way it gives the reader more information in order to come to a valid conclusion.

Don't mean to sound like a teach (I am not) but it makes it better for the rest of us and hopefully makes you a stronger writer.

This #5 from Roseau, Is this the kid they call the train? They say if you get in his way he will run you over. Sounds like he is pretty good and strong too. We'll see him yet this year, maybe even play against him!!!!
