Ep's Record

Correct me if im wrong, but isn't Eden Prairie's record like 50 something and 1? Their only loss is to Littleton CO., in which return they beat the CO. team a few weeks later. I heard from a parent on their team that they have won every tournament they have participated in this year! And also winning D6... Wow, how is that for dominance!

it doesn't matter what the record is. It matter which team really wants it and who is going to come out and play on the team. If the team gets to cockey they will lose. :

Mel 31,
I expected a great year out of Roso bantam a and knew pee wee would be solid but did not expect that great of year.
Congrd. and good luck. Just hear alot about Shane but oviously not the only kid playing well and working hard.
How about TRF going to regions? I seen them play a little but looked to be a little too undersized overall to have much of a chance but are also some great kids like Roso.

I am pretty sure omdahl is on the northern blades. I played against the northern wings and there wasnt any stand out players and by the sounds of it that is what shane is so i doubt he is on the northern wings.

I am the souperstar.

Everybody can talk about how good there record is and everything but in reality it is like a new season now it doesnt matter what your record used to be all that matters is how you play now. Anybody can beat anybody in playoffs its just the matter of who wants it more.

hockeygy,
Who is in their Region? How many teams to state from that Region?

Sartell

Sartell is in the silver region with Mankato, New Prague, Faribault, New Ulm, Buffalo, Mound Westonka, and some other D5 team. I'd Sartell's chances to even make it to state are slim.

this is a reply to quantummekanic. it may have been harsh the barbi doll comment but this is now not last summer. the omdahl kid is twice as good this year over last and most of that is speed. last year i thought he was to slow to dominate but his speed really improved over last year. and you are right both kids are good no dought i just know that dangeling and danceing wont go far with omdahl on the ice the kid would be lookin at the lights. good night

Lakeville South

Don't sleep on SOUTH...They beat Wayzata and Edina in the White Bear Lake tourney. And had a goal disallowed to go to OT against EP. I haven't seen Roseau but I hear they are small and the goaltending is average? They just took their District tourney by beating Eagan 4-1. Watch A.J. (17) and Zach (9). And the very reliable tender Matt (30). It should be a GREAT tounament!!!

Lakeville South has a very good team, but I just don't remember any disallowed goals. I remember one crossbar shot and a goal scored well after the whistle. (and to the 150 year old grandma I was standing next to that said she saw the puck go into the net all I have to say is I hope you no longer drive and what was in that flasc you wore sippin on?)

What was the final score? We left with six minutes left in the game and it was 4 to 1.

Gotta agree. Don't overlook South, Stillwater or Blaine. Roseau will not walk through the tournament. They are a good team but goal tending will be a huge issue when they start facing better teams. I still think EP will take at least one fall. They will be there in the hunt however, no question. If Stillwater is on top of their game, they will send teams home. Blaine on a good night will also keep everyone honest. Anything can happen now!

PWA State

Stillwater won the Moorhead tournament, with both Blaine and Roseau competing. Roseau also looked beatable in the tournament, trailing Mankato most of the game before winning. At that tournament, at least, Bjugstad from Blaine was the best player on the ice, period. I haven't seen anybody better this year.

In any case, you have to call Eden Prairie the PWA favorite. D6 is the best hockey in the state overall.

pee wee

I have seen alot of pee wee hockey this year 3-5 games of Roseau and 2 or three from Blaine i don't know how anybody can say that Bjugstad is better than Omdahl. They are different players.. Omdahl is big and is so tough in front of the net you can only hope to contain him. Bjugstad is more of an open ice skater who can beat you wit his hands and feet. But his shot is not comparable to Omdahls from in tight. Omdahl and Bjugstad are both tremendous players. But very different styles.

french you wouldn't know talent period. stillwater was lucky with a hot golie against roseau and alot of help from the refs. mankato that game was a blow out with roseau controling the play the whole game.. ofcourse roseau and I'falls were tied 4-4 going into the third period that one ended 13-5 roseau.. so you may have a few bad periods in an undifeated season but what matters at the end is whats on the score board..

scbn27,
Who did Roseau lose and tie to?
What made Omdahl into the dominate player this year?
He was always a solid player but nothing like this year from what I've been hearing.
Good luck and please give update on regions when you get a chance.
