Hill is around $8200 this year, but from the sounds of it, it could increase to nearly $9,000 next year.

Hey gc1 - I don't know who "dereu" is, but I am sure that because 2 private schools just won Class A and Class AA, maybe he/she was just curious.

Holy Angels is 8,750. STA is upwards of 12,000. Shattuck is 42,000 if you're playing hockey and using board, so you may want to win the lottery before going there.

Public school teams stay at normal hotels during the State Tournament. Guess where Saint Thomas stayed. They reserved the whole top floor of the Saint Paul Hotel.

Who the heck gives a damn about where your team stays. Just like Hockeymom said, who cares if u stay in a cardboard box if u win a state title.

Do any of these schools offer room and board or are they just day schools? Whats the earliest grade kids can start attending?

I thought Cretin was only 4-5 thousand a year. Oh well I'm pretty sure that Cretin is the cheapest private school out of all of 'em.

I don't have anything against private schools everyone has the choice. Maybe the high school league should make just one section for the privates only. If privates are included maybe Shattuck Saint Mary's should be included I know they play a different kind of schedule but why not let everyone in.

its not about choice anymore.
It used to be that you went to a private school for religous reasons, but now, there are kids who don't attend any religion classes because they are of a different faith. So why are you going to a private school?

"Pimp'n ain't easy"

If you want to debate the whole public vs. private thing, the let's have a seperate state tournament for the privates, the it's not fair 'cuz they recruit thing, you should check out the high school board. They can't seem to get enough of it over there.

Seperate tournaments for the privates. Aldrich Arena in Saint Paul is where they use to hold it. Return to that and let the privates share the money and get them out of our pure game.
All they do is pollute it with the smell of money and corruption.

Oh my god!

A simple question regarding how much is tuition at private schools and now we have people calling for separate tournaments.

Give me a break!

The game is played on the ice by young men. If it wasn't for private schools and special lessons with the head master and girls hockey I would not be where I am today.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... rphilly>Dr Philly at: 3/14/06 5:23 pm
