I just want to point out that Mankato PWA is going to take a fall from #2 in Reg. Season and #1 in playoffs. The Bantam A's will have a good shot at going to state, and possibly FINALLY winning a game for the Silver Region.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... eykid14 at: 3/6/06 8:32 pm

well just because of the peewees last year mankato and faribault will be contenders. just because of they were both in the regional championship game. i think it depends on who moves up to high school or not. dan billiar and ryan willaert who were the anchors of the team last year in peewees could move up with eat losing 14 kids and them being the only kids going to east fomr katos bantam team except for one other who was a second year (nick baker). faribault i would guess would be similar. albert lea will be not bad i know there is a pretty good second year peewee moving up and they have an awesome coach. joshdog likes to rip on me when he sees me . As for the peewees i dont know a whole lot about squirt teams around here but the faribault new prague and kato teams are always good. faribualt looks to be good for that age in the future.

I am the souperstar.

Faribault will have the sweep for both peewee A and bantam A. Faribault will have some very good second year peewees next year and some very good first year bantams.

Bantam A goes to Mankato, New Prague, and Faribault. Just as this year's peewee a's, and last years.

I agree with hockey school. Faribault is the powerhouse in D4.

Now no disrespect to fairbault but watching them play they just look like they didnt have the depth of quality "A" players to compete the entire game or at least at the bantam level this year so im gonna go with the Bantam Mankato and Pee Wee New Prague or Mankato
sik

Quote:
Any imput on Albert Lea's Bantams?

Good question. Only 4 or 5 players will be returning from this year's team, including the goalie. No idea what the B Bantams were like this past year, but a lot of those players should/could be moving up to A. I would expect a similar team to this year with only about 5 or so first year players. But they will have JOSHDOG, and that's good for a few extra W's!

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... herdude at: 3/9/06 11:17 am

Sik. Did u not know that Faribault's peewee A team was half first year players. The peewee team in 06- 07 will be a powerhouse in district four. The squirt A for faribault just won the playoffs, and New Prague, AND Mankato both were second year teams for peewee A. Think on that one...

Dasher,
AL will not compare to this years team. They will lose most of all their players and they lose all their defensemen besides one that is not the skilled. hes not bad but needs speed. yes they have Jdog but its the players game. next year they will have Brackey who will need to put the puck in the net. The first years and the B bantams moving up have some HUGE spots to fill. i wish good luck to them and Jdog.

ALdude9,
You mean to tell me AL's Bantams for next season won't be as good as this year's team which finished 4th in league play, 4th at the District Tourney and 6th at the Regional Tourney?
That would be a huge hole to fill...
Of course there will be holes to fill, but the players filling those holes will be second year players. That will help AL finish in about the same place in District play as this year's team.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... herdude at: 3/10/06 9:06 am

Alright whatever you say. i could garrenttee that the bantams next year will barley win 15 games while us bantams this year won 27. and the last bantam team and the only other bantam team ever to win 25 or more games was with Jonny Breuer.

research

Post by upucker »

Dude:
This is in no disrespect to your bantam team. But you should do some research before you make a statement like that. You sound like a youngster so I will just tell you that Albert lea Bantams have been around for at least 35 years. I will give you a great A.L. team without too much research. 1974 Bantam team 31-7 took 2nd in regions losing 7-4 to Rochester, same Roch. team won State high school Championship in 1977. That Albert Lea team went to the VFW State tournament in International falls that year and were very competitive. When teams play 50 games a year it is really not to difficult to post 25 wins, thats only 1/2 your games. Well good luck next year and you did have a nice club this year.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... upucker at: 3/12/06 6:34 pm

ok just wondering....for mankato to be successful for Bantam A next year it depends on if anybody moves up to HS and how their goalies are. I know last years peewee goalies were a little shaky at times.

I am thesouperstar.

I can tell you one thing, next year joshdog will have his hands full. If you look at the A-peewee team from two years ago, it wasnt good. I dont think that even won 10 games. Im sure Joshdog is up to the challenge and will right the ship.
Falkster

Hockeykid, Do you really think that just because Kato went to state two years ago that they will go again? The bantam game is a lot different than the PW game. The players are bigger, stronger, and faster making the opponents think a lot faster. Kato should have good team speed next year as they did this year but they will lack in the size and/or strength department. But hey if they all work hard in the off-season they could very well make another state run. I would love to see it!
