I am new to the area but I seen one of the "A" Pee Wee teams for the TC district. I asked and some of the people said it was the Dark team whatever that means. I would have to say they looked pretty poor. The teams in Seattle would clobber this team.

Yes, But all kidding aside. These kids are very skilled and alot better than players from my part of the country. If you go up to Vancouver they have similar skills to yours but it is a rougher style.

The TC district All Star game was won by the White team by a score of 4 to1 the last goal being an open net goal. Brandon Hoffman recorded a shut out for the period and a half he played. so much for the bad mouthing by the Como's goalies Dad.

I attended this game and it was a quite a good game the goaltender from Johnson did not give up a goal. I had read that there is a "B" Pee Wee goalie better than him. If that is the case where wa he? The goalie from Irondale looked alittle rusty.

This is the first game in Minnesota I have attened and it did not disappoint me. The Blue team goalie that came in the second half of the game played very well, If the first Blue team goalie would have played that well the sore would have been 1 to 0 the Blue team. The parent that was saying that the goalie named Brandon from the Blue team was so bad should keep his kid at the "B" level cause this kid can play. You should be more than a little embarassed.Remember this post?

This from Travis's Father,(Mq32b)
yes kurth is B goalie for como. the same goalie that a coach from johnson took from A squirt down to C pee-wee so we went to como who welcomed us with open arms. They had the A pee-wee team picked a week before we came over. so he was the only B goalie. Travis has a lot of good friends there just as he has good friends at johnson still. As far as the parents we have very good friends at both association. Travis was offered a spot on a A team this year outside are district. He wanted to stay at como and yes I could have forced him to go. I let my boys choose where they want to play its not about me to brag and say my son plays on a A . team its about him where he is happy. Not to say I dont brag becuase I do. Our family holds no grudge against johnsons association because of one coachs decision. Their lost not ours. Next year who knows. P.S. como ice is all paid for.
And don't forget this one either.
travis kurth is the best tc goalie with a record of 37-0-2 in the past 3 years of associtation games, considering he plays for the best aaa team in the state (the 93 predators) he is in the top 5 in the state. what is brandons record??
Must be a threat to you Johnson folks!!! Remember his name is (Mq32B) send him a email or two.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... unavich at: 3/20/06 3:19 pm

looking at the roster for the "Bantam" game, there really wasn't too many actual Bantams playing or rostered for that matter.
The majority were High School JV players with a decent spattering of Varsity players. That is not to say that there were not SOME kids that played Bantam hockey this season though.
I did not stay to see any of this, but I am sure it was talented hockey.

SLPcoach, Thanks for sending me your players for the All Star game, Every one of those kids seem to be great kids. I told them next year when we play you guys they better come over and say HI. The Irondale goalie was a little rusty and we just could not score, I think we out played them from mid-way thru the second period on but didn't score. We played all three lines equal and no power plays or certain people short-handed. Even though the kids lost I think they had a good time.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... sonprez at: 3/20/06 3:39 pm

I saw the game, but missed the first 7 minutes.
It was 3-0 when I walked in a was told that the first 2 goals for white came on rebounds where the goalie made a save, but pulled himself out of position and nobody else covered. The 3rd was a decent shot from about the top of the circle and hit the corner. I'm sure that goalie was a bit rusty, because from the time I got there half way through the first he looked good. Seriously, when was the last time he has played (besides for the 2 practices)?

I personally though the Blue team out played the White for the last 2 periods (at least). But, they just couldn't put the puck home. Lots of scrambling in front of the net, but not a lot of real chances from that. The SW players had a few good chances of their own, but god forbid that they actually get a good shot off. I know one player had the puck roll of his stick 3 different times when he had good open looks.

Thanks for the complements on the players you saw. They really are all good kids. 4 of those 5 were first year peewee players and will be back next season.

The first thing the players told me when I saw them at Super Series practice was...."Johnson doesN'T hate us...."
All I could do is laugh and say, of course not, it's all just in spirit of competition when you're on the ice.

Yeah the first two goals people just stood in front of the net and did not clear any rebounds. I had a good view of the third goal I was on the bench and I said to our goalie look he is giving the shooter the whole net. The goalie was completly to out side of the pipe. A blind man could not have missed that shot. After that he settled down. Our top center had numerous time he could have shot to and did not. Have a good summer and I look forward to maybe being the spoiller next year, We loose alot. Again have a good summer and take care.

You started with a statement mq32b. Then asked about Brandon. WHY? Why ask about someone else when your son is already better. Thats what makes this a poor fight of words.

"To:Johnsonprez and Tunawich Show me one insert that I wrote and bad mouthed your goalie." READ FIRST QUOTE

I could care less about Tunawich, but you don't need to get on the Johnsonprez about standing up for his program. I'll stand up for it too. As a parent, it is rather classless for BOTH of you to put kids in the middle of a bragging contest. Especially if they haven't played at the same level.

FINISH THIS

Johnsonprez didn't start it YOU DID. Someone needs to be an adult and get it over with.

Are you coming back to play in the program you live??????

And by the way, you can't play A vs B teams. So, I don't know how you beat Chaska, the team was against the rules to play them. If youre kid is really that good, nice to hear. My kid is good too, all the kids in both programs are nice. Happy world.
