____________________________________________________
"I feel sorry for some of the losing teams in the Maroon region, they might be able to beat the "out state" teams that made it to Duluth."
____________________________________________________

"From all I have heard and seen only Roseau has the slightest chance against the Maroon Region qualifiers. "
__________________________________________________

HockeyDad9, Your comments in regards to the Maroon Regions are unwarranted for this thread. Minnesota Hockey does a great job bracketing the teams as they do and I am pretty certain that kids from the Silver and Gold Region are just as excited and worthy to play in the State Peewee A tournament right along with the clubs from the Maroon Region. At least MN Hockey thinks so, that is why they bracket in a few teams from the Gold region and 1 from the Silver region as well. If you do not like the format perhaps you should direct your grievance to Minnesota hockey.

I am not sure what you are referring to Mullet. I am not ripping out state teams. I have no grievance to voice. I love the format.

I actually was supporting the format if you read my posts.

The only thing I said was the I was impressed of the level of play in the Maroon region on Saturday.

I am sorry that you feel that I was critical of MN Hockey, but that is SO far from the truth. I LOVE THE FORMAT OF THE TOURNAMENT!

If you look at the inital message to this thread, you will find that out!

Please let us get back to having this thread be a POSITIVE thread to support the teams that have qualified for the 2006 MINNESOTA PEE WEE A STATE TOURNAMENT.

you're right, lets stay positive.

There are some great match ups. Likely to see Edina and EP square off for the 4th time this year and while I believe EP is a little better, I wouldn't want to try and beat Edina 4 times in a row. Wayzata seems the clear favorite on the other side of the bracket. They have more top end kids than any other team. Don't be surprised by upsets..goaltending will be the difference in the end. As a life long rival it pains me to predict this but: I'm going with Edina to take home the crown.

I love it - now this is why I started the thread.

On the EP vs Edina - WOW! Would I ever like to be in Duluth if this SEMI-FINAL matchup happens. I stress IF! Upsets do and WILL probably happen up in Duluth.

Love to hear from some of the players that will be participating in Duluth...

How 'bout it hockeystud27 - how ya feeling? I think your team will do just fine up in Duluth - how has the week of preparation been?

In my opinion if you and your teammates move the puck - you win. I think the issue with your team is that you all are so talented that each one of you thinks that you can do it on your own - and facing most teams, you probably could, but when facing the BEST of MN the old Hornets need to move the puck around.

What do you think hockeystud27?

Outstate

"outstate"teams , in MN anyway, means teams that are not from the Twin Cities metro area

Oh thanks for the answer. Oh yea thats right Minnesota is split into two states anything from #2 and South is considered the better of the state and north is considered not their when it comes down to anything in the state. Hope there is a big upset down in Duluth for state.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... 1hockey at: 3/12/06 2:10 pm
