Pretty darn cool. Two Hobey winners from 1A programs from the Duluth area. Congrats to Drew. Loved watching him play at SCSU.

Nice player and nice story coming back after the adversity with a serious injury.

Congrats to Drew and St Cloud State.. I'm a U of M alum but you have to respect what SCSU was able to accomplish in the post-season and what Lablanc was able to do, coming back from a terrible injury. With only 13 goals (7th in nation in pts.), I wonder how much his scholar athlete of the year award played into the decision (the Hobey criteria does include "sportsmanship and scholastic achievements").. Great to see a Student-athlete be rewarded..

Just curious, anyone know what the lowest goal total for a (Forward) Hobey Baker winner is in the modern era?

P.S. I went back 15 years and there was no Forward winner with fewer than 20 goals so Leblanc is obviously a unique and unselfish player...

Great player

He was a fantastic athlete and loads of good character in high school with four trips to state tourney. The same character and athlete in college. That does not always happen and he left no doubt about his athleticism and ability and there is no doubt in my mind he will be a great pro player. I guarantee it. Mark my words.

There is a guarantee I won't be betting on any time soon.
