Remember those old commercial Jingles?
Do you people remember any of those old Jingles that businesses used to put out?
A few I remember my Dad would always humm or sing them,
TCF had the "Tuck a buck a day away"
Embers had that "every meals a winner- 7 days a week 24 hrs a day remember the embers"
How about Red Owl stores (remember those PB) I know they had jingles too but I can't remember them.
Arthur Treachers Fish and chips ??
Back in the day the best creative jingles on the radio would stick with ya!
Lets hear some of your old favorites !
ought a be good for a laugh or 2

Do you mean "In the land of sky blue waters" ?? I can't recall the rest of it although I had a really cool sign that was from the 50's or 60's that Mom just couldn't stand in the attic anymore and tossed it.Govs93 wrote:I'm a bit *cough cough* YOUNGER than some of you, but the Hamm's beer jingle during the AWA wrestling on Saturday mornings was always my favorite. Can't ever beat that one.
I used to love Ken Patera and Mr. Saito.

I do remember Red Owl stores and Applebaums too.
Winston taste good like a cigarrete should.
There were a lot of tobacco ones that got the nation hooked on nicotine.
But who could forget: Electricity is penny cheap from NSP to you
When my dad would yell at us to turn out the lights when we left a room , we would sing that jingle to him.
His response was always"Fine you pay for it with your paper route money then" We turned out the lights .

Local bar had one in Warroad. Great sign.
Ive been trying to remember an old one about financial investors.
It went something like this. When CNT talks people listen.
Ever since AY has labeled you the "bored"expert on finances Ive been trying to remember but no luck.

Does anyone remember how the A & W drive in jingle went?
Speaking of Drive in's "lets all go to the snackbar, repeat over and over again, while showing dancing Hot dogs, popcorn and drinks
I own a DVD of drive-in intermission movies, and another one (actually, it's a 3 disc set) of "classic commercials" from the 50's and 60's. I find that stuff fascinating.
