No
Section 1 won 3 titles and one runner up in the 6 classes they compete in.

We will dominate again.

Oops, forgot about Rushford.....3 titles and 2 runner ups.

According to the National Federation of High Schools, the governing body for high school sports, participation in athletics is at an all time high with every sport seeing an increase.....except football which is down again. I tnink we are on an accelerating decent in terms of numbers. I see high school teams gradually shrinking but youth numbers are falling off a cliff. From what I heard last week Rochester youth football went from 33 teams last year grades 4-8 to 20 teams this year and no 8th graders.....they were moved to the high school.

Fwiw unless the powers that be get a handle on this football will die in a generation.
Hockey, at an administrative level, is doing a much better job in the concussion area than football.

In Bemidji youth numbers remain strong.
The school runs football from 6th grade up.
A non-profit runs 3 to 5 grades.
They provide top quality protective equipment and quality instruction on proper 'safe' techniques for blocking and tackling.
They also provide transportation after school to the practice/game fields so parents do not have to do running until later in the day after football is over.
The cost is about $100 with a local company providing scholarships for those that have the need.

But in surrounding communities numbers are down. How much of that has to do with concussions/injuries I am not sure. In part those towns have less numbers in school and have more activities available.

Football is in trouble and the top level needs to do something. (IMO)

Minnesota scores forum is crap.....
I have been a MSHSL official for about 20 years..,,,,9-man is at least 3 per side in Minnesota . ....Minnesota trials many rules, especially in regards to kickoffs. Expecting crews from other states to apply MSHSL rules is, at best un realistic.

I'll answer any rules question...?.judgment is different....

Minneapolis North had 1/3 of their kids kneel during the national anthem, yet at the state tournment teams are getting unsportsmanlike conduct penalties for high fives as they are determined to be offensive...
