More Dissapointment-NHL Cancels Draft
With no CBA, they had to cancel it.

<a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/stor ...

No Draft
You really have to feel sorry for the kids whose draft year this was, and even next years draft class. Unless they make the next draft longer, there will be a lot of kids who will never get the thrill of hearing their name called on draft day that would have had they not cancelled this years event.

Also, does anyone think Kessel could be the first overall pick in the 2006 draft? Or will it still be Sidney Crosby?

At this point, I really dont care about the NHL. I'm perfectly content with High School and College Hockey.

NHL? What's that? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... lasses.gif ALT="8)">

Yes, I've missed it a little, but I found myself watching a lot more HS & college hockey and I have always enjoyed that more than the pro's because it is more free flowing and crisper. Don't get me wrong, I want the NHL to come back, but I want them to be completely fixed. I don't want any halfa**ed agreements, figure your stuff out and get it done. Until then, HS & college is where it is at. Re: No Loss
Its not a loss for the college teams, Look at it like this, Kessel is a Gopher next year and then also the following since he cant turn pro. Also Lee for UND it gives the college teams a chance to keep there top players for an extra year atleast and as a bigger college hockey fan then a pro fan I love the sounds of that

Re: No Loss
I wonder how many of you naysayers will keep your negative and/or ambivalent attitudes toward nhl hockey(or the lack , there of) after the amateur season is over.I know I will probably experience my "hockey withdrawals" a little earlier this year..
