In another thread we discussed is Roseau for real. Well..they're riding the winning streak we talked about, if they win or play this one close; which they should; they definitely ARE for real in the Section. Warroad kept Christian from scoring, I think Roseau's defense can and will do the same, they clog the slot real well and grind the boards very well; they're big and strong. I'll take the Rams in this one.

The Rams have been playing very well as of late......the defense has been playing solid, and hopefully can shut down the Spuds......offensively, I have been impressed with the play of the top two lines, and the third line has been a fun line to watch with heavy checks, etc, and adding some goals every once in a while as well. The only thing stopping the Rams right now is themselves. This is one out of two big AA games left for the Rams this season. If they can pull off a win Tuesday night, and a win against what sounds to be a good Grand Rapids team on Feb. 17th, I expect them to hit the playoffs hard and deep. Moorhead sets a new state tournament record!

This game will decide the first and second seeds in the section. Moorhead is gonna show up for this one. Moorhead~3 Roseau~2 No scoring in the first Roseau up 2-1 after the second Moorhead comes back with 2 and heads on home with the "w".

That Grand Rapids-Roseau game on the 17th could be a preview of the late game in the state qrt finals.

Yes, it easily could. But rapids will have a lot tougher road having ER, East, and Cloquet in their section. Although Roseau will have to get through a better team than all three, Grand Rapids would still have to string together at least two solid games, rather than just one. Moorhead sets a new state tournament record!

The past is nice but it doesn't comfort you too much in March when you are watching Moorhead in state, even if they are only winning second. I'd rather take second in state then in sections!!
