well this is my what would it be 4th season around and this year i noticed there was alot less public private b.s but the threads now are less informative in my opinion they tend to be ppl making jokes the whole time and get away from the subjects alot more none the less i still enjoy the bored and finding the good info but it seems like the good posters that have left ptowntigers,videoscout,etc...have not been replaced by good posters but by jokesters rather than informates

Where else can you be a part of games all over the state and listen in to many viewpoints and say what you want to whomever you want regarding hockey and if you do get seized by security the worst that can happen is getting banned instead of thrown in jail like many of the posters who have graced the forum deserve? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/devil.gif ALT=":evil"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/grin.gif ALT=" >D"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/devil.gif ALT=":evil"> When you get involved with Minnhock you can be on the ice, ref the game, be in the stands or judge the goals as well as coach the teams or play the game itself or do all of the above while lounging in the comfort of your home or Hotel or van down by the river or whatever! You can hear from the guys that play now or the guys that played before but the guys that play now have a tougher row to hoe than the guys that played before notwithstanding that the guys that played before have to be on their toes when surfing the waters of this forum! You can create rivalries that may last for years and you can bring conviction to "pinheads" across the spectrum of hockey fans! I see now where one has embraced the "pinhead" monicker calling for "pinheads to unite" and claiming that "pinheads rule" ! Where else but Minnhock where the rise of the "pinhead" garnish so much acknowledgement and understanding from the hockey community at large? Minnhock is revolutionary in that you can communicate so much more intensely with the fans than you could at a game and the forum gives you the opportunity to communicate with the players as well! Several Zamboni drivers have joined the forum and their opinions are noted almost daily throughout the season! You can ride the ref that awarded the penalty shot that caved in your teams hopes and dreams and chew on his ankle for years even if he was right in making the call anyway! You can tell the coach where he blew it and know that he hears you because chances are he's readin' the board as well! You can scold fans for their iniquities and create stars that otherwise would go unnoticed throughout the hockey world! It's great for people like me. I can have NO work for a week or two at a time. I just got on this year so I can't compare it to previous years but, so far so good! Sure am glad I made thru the NEWBIE stage<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

In the time I have been on here it's been okay. The humor is okay at times and down right awful as well. There are quite a few posters that are pretty knowledgeable about the game which is refreshing. I could do without the juvenile posts about individual players. This is no place to call out teenagers by name. Since coverage is so poor with high school sports this is the best place to get scores and updates during the season. Overall, I would give the site a B+<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D">

This year...we've seen a lot more crybabies than in past years...UPuckOff, IronRanger4Ever... Specifically in the 2A thread we've lost some of the best "hockey" reporters... 2ahockeydude was gone from recent years ptown tigers-one sided towards princeton but still gave great hockey analysis. the late "the hockeywriter" was all about giving information related to hockey and not just jokes. sometimes VERY off on some of his information and really hated the SCC folk for no good reason, but still dedicated himself to writing about hockey. All that's left there is scottparker who knows what he's talking about. Storm Puckster ran off after making rediculous posts and being proven wrong..same with tm123.. In the 6A thread I've noticed that CentralMNhockeyGuy really knows his puck. Too bad Steelers33 and the rest of the boys cancel out his logic. As a whole, this year was enjoyable. But rarely for informative hockey reasons.

I thought it was another good year. We have lost some good pposters but we have gained a lot of good new ones. I think it was another year of a little bit of everything. A lot of serious talk about hockey mixed in with humor and creativity. I had a blast with the Crusades and "Up for Grabs" threads as well as many others. I think the 'bored' has something for everybody. In that vein, I thought that this year more than any other established a 'territorial' trend where posters would go to certain threads and not others. The '2A' thread was an example of that. I dont know if thats good or bad...just an observation. I thought there was a lot of info on teams and players, just as much as any other year.

You had some posters who posted primarily in that thread (the 1A thread also comes to mind) who made for enjoyable reading. I learned quite a bit reading about teams which I didn't have the chance to see in person. Sometimes you gotta take what some say with a grain of salt. You get a sense who those folks are after awhile. Anyway, considering the quite large number of posts those two threads contained, they were very civilized. Good point! The majority of time spent on the forum is spent reading as opposed to writing! The threads mentioned by Lee truly were civilized but you've gotta wonder if that fact will remain once 1A and 1AA brings a State Champion or two! Right as rain SS. But if you hang around long enough , it will happen. It took CDH 31 years to win it. Only the most civil of the civilized would have thought it possibe. Of course, when its all "Up fpr Grabs" these thing can happen. Maybe soon there will be another "Up for Grabs" year without any Catholics or behemouth publics around and da Spuds or section 1AA will win it. Maybe WBL will win a first round game. Maybe next year...you never know. Gotta come back to find out.
