you wouldnt have 2 games in the same night in the same place. give the semis to the higher seeds{home advantage as earned from the season}on different nights and have the final at a rotated location. Then at least 2 if not 3 arenas benefit. Havent heard how alex declared yet

You guys are right nobody has won anything. LF hasn't beat PC and the Wadena vs FF game is to close to call. PC has to be excited to make the final four and I'm sure they aren't planning to roll over. PC must have something in the tank to get this far. I have to miss the LF game but hope to get to Alex for the Wadena vs FF game. I'm still going with Wadena by 2 but their going to have to work their butts off to win. Wadena still planning on sticking with two lines ?

yeah because they are too stupid to figure out that two lines doesnt work. When i played there they only played one line, and the second line played like a normal 3 line would, for 25 seconds and then come off.

Post by otterhockeyrocks » Thu Feb 17, 2005 11:16 pm

to say the otters are going to overlook wadena on friday is the furthest from the truth. The boys have not talked at all this week in school, well very little, about they game, they dont want to think about it, or say much, there is one thing though i can tell you, they have worked their asses off at practice this past week, and are really ready to play hockey. and for you guys to say they have no heart? wow, you obviously do not know these guys. we will see what happens on friday night, and we can all discuss after the game, hopefully we will see you all up in alex on friday, or down. good luck, may the best team win. Predicts...... Otters 5 Wads 3
Lf 5 PC 2 .

Post by hockeyfan05 » Fri Feb 18, 2005 8:37 am

I cant agree more. These games will be very close battles with the best of the four teams comming out on top tonight. Alexandrias arena will be completely packed for the Wadsville vs. FF game and it will probally be the same for the LF vs. PC. This is the night most these teams have been looking up to all year the chance to go to the championship game and to hopefully make state. I'm sure it will be a great night of 4A hockey tonight in Alex.

Predictions: LF 7 vs. PC 3
FF 6 vs. Wadena 4

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... eyfan05 at: 2/18/05 8:48 am

Sorry lock and load, I wont be getting down this year for any of the playoff games, but I will be going to the state tourny. Im going to be going to section 8 playoff games this year, probly be the last good year for Warroad, plus we are moving in the spring so Im trying to get as much hockey watching and fishing in as I can up here. Plus practices and shows are killing me, I cant even move today, I need a break, lol. Good luck to all the teams, especially those on Little Falls, PC is going to be a tough one, lol. Its too bad 3 of these teams will have their hearts broken, but hey, it happends every year and what doesnt kill us only makes us stronger. peace out my homies, p.s. my cat is sleeping in a box.

I think with the higher seed wadsvill will match the Otters third line but i really dont expect to see them to much in the 2nd or the third.

Beside Wadena third line is a huge liability on defense so why should'nt they see limited ice time in this one.
Just use the younger Wolden as a fill in as needed.

Cant wait to watch this one i think it will be one to remember.

wouldnt go that far as to say they are a liability koonta, their plus minus is only 3 away from the second lines. When matched up agaist other thrid lines they play well thats their job. It will take the coaches to take advantage of last line change tonight, if fergus plays theirs we should play ours. And if its within a goal you keep playing them. Old school are you at the bar? hoping your team wins by a goal is great, at this point thinking they will get 6 against wadena and beat them by that spread, well you better get away from happy hour hahaha.

Congratulations, Wadena, ............
You guys have a hell of a goalie over there and I hope like hell you go to state and redeam yourselves from last year, at least win a game......a year of experience and a little push over the edge, just do it......proved it tonight, you can play with anyone, I don't think anyone really doubted that, but in any case, I said it and will stick by it, if Wadena wins, they will deserve to be in the championship and here you are.....good tradition you guys got started now keep it up. As hard as it is not to see the Otters going for state again, I still think it is for the better in a section that many believe is second rate, all I can ask now is that whoever goes, (I got my eyes on Wadena) represent this section with pride, you are the underdogs like it or not, that is a fine position, no one expects anything, but it is possible, I expect at least one upset from Wadena or Little Falls at state and will be waiting for the mighty Warriors to fall.....good luck, nice game, good night...............

<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin"> oNE THING I WAS GOING TO WATCH LAST NIGHT WAS HOW THIS #2 FOR LITTLE FALLS PLAYED ! hE WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BE A HITTER THAT SOME OF YOU CLAIM HIM TO BE , IN FACT , HE WAS KNOCK DOWN MORE TRYING TO KNOCK SOMEONE ELSE DOWN , AND HIS SHOT WAS A BUTTERFLY TO SAY THE LEAST !! AND YOU CAN'T HELP YOUR TEAM FROM THE PENALITY BOX !! ENOUGH OF THAT , HE STILL HAS A YEAR TO BECOME A BETTER PLAYER , AND I DO BELIVE WITH THAT SIZE , HE'LL BECOME A DECENT ONE !! AS FOR THEIR FIRST LINE , THEY PLAY VERY WELL TOGETHER , AND HAVE A STRONG POWER PLAY , BUT IF A TEAM FIGURES THATONE PLAY , AND KEEP A GUY ON THEIR FAR SIDE WING , THEY'LL TAKE AWAY THEIR STRONG PLAY !! AS FOR WADENAS GAME , THEY SHOWED EVERYONE THAT THEY DESERVE TO PLAY IN THE BIG GAME . I THINK FF SKATED ALOT FASTER , HAD MORE SHOTS , BUT PLAYED A TEAM WITH HEART , AND I'LL TAKE A TEAM WITH HEART ANYDAY !! SHOULD BE A GOOD GAME TUESDAY , AND IF WADENA PICKS UP ON SOME OF LFs WEAKNESSES , THEY'LL HAVE A CHANCE , IF NOT , I THINK LFs WILL BE GOING TO STATE !!

Nice win Wadena, the game was well worth the drive over to Alex. I understand LF vs PC was a boring affair. The pace of the first period in Wadena's game was torrid and looked like both teams were trying to catch their breath in the second period. It appeared to me that FF thought they had the game later in the third only to get out hustled, tied, and beat. FF did live up to their billing. I also heard the from a number of people that there was a night and day difference in the refs from game one to game two. Game one refs calling anything and everything and game two refs letting the kids play hockey. I prefer the Wadena/FF refs, these types of games should't be decided by a whistle happy team of officials. Should be another good game come Tues.

old school you were right fergus was peaking at the right time. The were a much better team last night then the first time we played them. Damn that game could of gone the other way very easily. When wadena loses a game i sure as hell hope we do it with as much class as fergus. They put their heart out on the ice all night and deserved to win. But in section games always a littl;e luck is required and it seemed to be with wadena last night. Wadena guys you proved again like ive seen you guys do it since squirts never give up, play like there is no tomorrow, cause for you seniors soon there will be no tomorrow in high school hockey

refs

Post by otterhockeyrocks » Sat Feb 19, 2005 9:03 am

they did let the kids play yes, but missed a number of Huge calls... many interferences, elbowings, trippings, for both teams, but more for fergus, and im not going to blame this on the refs... and with about 4 min left in the game they made a Horrid slashing call, Terrible call, on that power play wadena tied it up and took the momentum... i was just wondering how much money wandena fans gathered for the refs? :P no im just kidding, good game wadena, good luck next round.
as for the other game i only saw the last period...... at the beg. of the 3rd praire centere was just Dominating the puck had it in LF zone the whole damn time. they scored one, brough it back to 4 2 and then LF went 5 2 then it was 6 2, 6,3 7-3 and then prarire center scored again to make it 7 to 4... praire center were much bigger hitters then LF they were a damn physical team and pretty darn big. Not a bad hockey team, just not good enough this year. Good luck to everyone next round, sorry that the other 2 teams have to be done, good luck next year. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

jiggs the little falls penalties looked legitimate one was a rough for a defense men hitting a prairie center guy on an icing. That gets called almost every time, Falls coach didn't look very happy on three of those penalty's, they were very avoidable. But i do agree that center came to play and is a much improved team but small falls and their snipping in close was to much. The refs in the wadena game did a good job, however the hooks and slashes on wadenas 13 every time he touches the puck does get old, but hey if im coaching the other team im preaching hooking and slashing till i get called for it cause hes wild when he gets loose. Hoping prairie center, morris benson, cia and Pequot lakes keep working on development of programs and make section 4a stronger every year.
