Actually, the first thread is college w/o Juniors, right? So it wouldn't matter when you played in the games. Right?

Then the originater of the thread clarified and said he meant guys that went from a HS season to a college season, excluding guys like goligoski, hillen, etc. that finished up with a few junior games.

Read the whole thread<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /happy.gif ALT=":D">

H.S. to College

Post by diskman » Tue Mar 15, 2005 10:31 am

There are VERY few that go right from H.S. to a college team. It just doesn't happen anymore. Almost all will play some juniors first. Even D3 colleges recruit from junior teams. That wasn't the way it was just a few years ago but that is the way it is now!

Engasser, Page, Wyman, Kowalkoski, NO juniors whatsoever.
Yale,Yale,Dartmouth,Colgate respectively. I know Yale sucks this year, but I think Dartmouth is #15 in the country. Got give those guys some props. Another Blake kid going STRAIGHT to D1 is John Wessbecker (UMass).

Hey Josh (aka umd bulldogs goalie).

Just wondering since you brought it up, how in the world did Dan Carlson walk on to UMD? I mean, I know it's a 3rd string job and he won't play, but how? From when I watched him last year, he was not very impressive whatsoever When I heard the news that he was there, I was shocked! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek">

The Blake kids deserve much props. They are going to some of the best schools the nation has to offer, their great high school education is transferring over to college.
