From the games I saw, Ammerman and Lee were pretty close to each other. I'd still give the edge to Lee though.

Ammerman was a very good rusher from what I saw, and he had one heck of a wrist shot when he got them off. I didn't pay much attention to his "D" skills unfortunately.

Lee also had a great shot, very hard. He sees the ice very well too. The strong point of his game is how he plays defense. He has a very solid body and rarely falls. Also, Lee will very rarely get burnt. That's why Lee is going to UND.

It's nice to see a defense-man win the Mr. Hockey award. This award has been around since 1985 and for the past 20 years only 5 defense-men have been named Mr. Hockey. The last defense-man to win Mr. Hockey was Paul Martin of Elk River in 2000. Congrats Lee.

Single A

Back in 95 Erik Rasmussen won the award for St. Louis Park, Class A. He had 42 points.

Matt Cullen of Moorhead had 89. I guess points really don't matter.

Brian Lee was a well deserving winner. He is an all around good player who will make a living playing this game.

Hardwick vs. Olimb

Post by Sabreman86 »

I dont think Olimb was better. Hardwick looked really good. Did anyone see his assist during the tourney when he made two beautiful moves on (I think it was St. Thomas) players, then put it on goal and someone picked up the rebound and put it in. That was beautiful.
