BEAVERS
Re: BEAVERS
This is great for the Beavers but they have a very long road ahead of them. There is no way they will be able to compete toget the top notch players to come there. Look what the gophers and other high profile teams have to offer players, be it televised games, new arenas, large crowds, etc.etc. But as of right now my hat is off to Bemidji, they have had a great season.

Re: BEAVERS
I dont' care what anyone says, this game only helps BSU, even though they lost. Congrats Beavers and Good luck next year

Great Game!!
Credit to coach Tom Serrratore and his staff and the young men they bring in to the program!! I have seen them play 9 times this season and they exemplify hustle, hard work, heart, determination and flat out thought they would beat Denver on a "lunch pail" type goal in OT.
Glad to hear Melrose talk so much about Roseau's very own #21 Luke Erickson. As well he gave the Beavers major credit for today's effort. Good season boys!

Re: Great Game!!
Good for the Beavers. I didnt get to watch it. but i heard it was a great game. The guys i know were pretty pumped to play. Too bad they lost......but a great season.

Re: Great Game!!
congrats on the hard fought game vs denver. but would someone explain to me why BSU is playing this late in the season, winning their conference doesnt seem to justify it with so many other good teams out there.

Re: Great Game!!
this doesn't surprise me. it will be a matter of time before bemidji state dominates all division I programs, as they did at every level they've consumed in the past 4 decades.

just you wait and see.

if you build it, they will come.

right elliot? CPA is busy this time of year.

Stitch, stop using crack. Bemidji State dominating DI? They had a hard time in the CHA this year. What happened today was Bemidji played a Denver team that was asleep at the switch, and didnt give Bemidji any respect. Im doubtful they'll dominate any DI program in the next millenium.

Re: Great Game!!
They will be a good program in the future, but I don't think they are going to "dominate D1". They will definitely turn into another quality Minnesota hockey program. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... lasses.gif ALT="8)">
Elk River AA State Champions- 2001 Boys & 2004 Girls

Re: Great Game!!
I completely agree EREmpire, they will be a good program. But there is a big step from any other college hockey level to DI.

BSU
Great showing today. Adding another quality DI program to the greatest hockey state in the nation is a win-win. On another complaint - awesome to shut up the ESPN "experts" and their love for Hockey East teams. Most picked Maine or Cornell to come out of this Region, here's hoping they are disappointed again Sunday. They also picked Michigan unanimously, hehehehe. Great win for CC, coming back on the whiners from Michigan. Love seeing them, BC, and BU all come up short. Their "legendary" coaches talk every year about themselves only and how superior they are to the WCHA. .......... Nope again this year! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">
Would be great for the Gophs to make a little run here at the end of this year. Win it all or not, they are just going to be incredibly talented for the next several years.
Who needs the NHL? Seeing all the great hockey on FSN today was awesome.

Forgot
Almost forgot -
great quote by BSU's Coach Serratore after today's game:
"It's no question that [Denver has] a little more offense, a little more skill," Serratore said. "But in this sport, heart, character and grit can go a long way. With a goaltender and with heart and with people who can skate, you just don't know what's going to happen."

Re: Forgot
They are doing better than Mankato, and i belive BSU went DI after Mankato did......at first I thought it was stupid not being able to be a part of the WCHA, but if it was...they would have never made a National Tournament Apperance...like I said earlier..this loss-even though its a loss...is nothing but positive for the Beavers

BSU
The Beav's made another step toward D1 respectability. They have shown this year that they belong.

Now to make the next step, they will need the community to dig deep and get the new arena they are going for. It is supposed to be similar to the Little Ralph in TRF with a few luxury boxes.
Build it and they will come.

Great season BSU!!

Arena
Crosscheck
The arena will come from the state and rightfully so.
The community has 3 arenas - BSU has the 4th in the John Glas, but they need an upgrade or better. A photocopy of the little Ralph would d o just fine.
