I watched Bemidji last year play at a B level I really find it hard to believe they will make it as an A team. They may be called an A team but the talent isn't there for one. This team can not play at the Grand Rapids or Duluth level.

bemidji

Post by blues73 » Sat Nov 05, 2005 11:19 pm

if i had watched bemidji play last year and new that was the team this year i might agree with you !!! but i know this year they have a full compliment of seniors and two outstanding goalies and speed!! also they do not have big numbers!! smaller numbers are good as long as they are the right players "they may surprise a lot of people"

if bemidji makes it there is something wrong because no matter how many seniors they get it cant help them about how many good players that hey lost.

I'm not saying they are a bad group of guys, but they didn't have the talent last year. I remember 3 or 4 guys of that team to possible talk about. Thats it. Now for this year who knows what the coach will pull out of the hat. Maybe they will have a strong team. I still say they will not make it past Duluth or Grand Rapids. Maybe I'm wrong maybe I'm not. As the season gets ready to begin we'll see.

I can wait but I dont see this team playing A hockey. Sure numbers are small and alot of ice thats fine. But wait until you play teams with 18 plus guys with true A talent. You will never outlast a team like that. Sounds like everyone has given up on varsity hockey to play JR Gold. And I mean no dis to Jr Gold hockey. But if programs are up for a challenge to move from B to A they need to make sure the talent is there. And from what saw last year there's was "some" talent. So I find it hard to believe you will be 10 times better then last year. Sorry Buddy.....

Cloquet will not have a team this year, is it because of numbers or no coaches?

What I have heard is that the numbers are not there, but they have not tried to recruit kids yet because they have no coach.
