If this is right 16 of 126 jobs opened this year (12.7%). I don't count the co-op splits & "New Programs". I only count/post verified (MSHSL posting) positions...

Past years:

2005 = 25 of 122 jobs opened this year (20.5%).
2004 = 21 of 122 jobs opened this year (17.2%).

I assume this translates to an opening in Fergus Falls, in case it hasn't already been noted.

Congratulations to Eastview and Herb, a great match! Finally Eastview should have the stability that they have been searching for. Too bad for the LS program. Always tough to lose a quality coach, but more difficult after one season. The chips continue to fall.

Agreed on Harvey, but let me add that LVS is a growing area that I'm sure will do well ong term. Never helps to have different coaches year-to-year I don't believe, but in a sport that's turing over 20% of the jobs each year, I guess it's to be expected unfortunately...

My guess is that the transition to two schools is tough and that leads to some changes, departures, etc.?

While I typically don't speculate on this sort of thing - I have heard this as well - but I don't believe that an official confirmation has happened yet.
