I'm going to continue to post the scores as I come across them on this site:

http://www.esportsdesk.com/leagues/late ... entID=1830

or:

http://www.esportsdesk.com/leagues/sche ... entID=1830

Teams can use the "FULL BOXSCORE FEATURE" Like those you'd see in the paper with scoring detail if they wish. I'll probably email out a password update today, else teams can use the ones that I gave them last year.

Here's an example of a "FULL BOXSCORE" from last night on this site:

http://www.esportsdesk.com/leagues/hock ... eID=376248

Eagan hasn't entered their portion though. When fully filled in it looks something like this:

http://www.esportsdesk.com/leagues/hock ... eID=263535

It was pretty even throughout. Chaska outhustled, but are a small and very young team this year. Shots were close but Chaska had more close chances in front of the net and couldn't put it away. A lot more physical than I expected given the new standards influence, and some inconsistent penalty calls against both teams. IMHO, poor call in OT, followed immediately by a really undisciplined and obvious penalty resulted in a 5-3 for LN. Didn't take long then with a nice upper corner wrist shot to end the game.

Six point night for Johnson (3g, 3a). If that's Cara Johnson, she's a 9th grader. Shots were about even, Hopkins goalie is also a 9th grader. Impressive performance for the Royals.

Hopkins does have a talented team, and are well coached. As for Eagan, they seemed like they were not ready to play.

There where lots of penalties on both teams due to the tighter enforcement. Hopefully, the players will adjust positively to this enforcement as the season progresses and the numbers will drop. As it is now, the penalties are making for a highly interruptive and longer game.

JM vs. Farmington game. Farmington dominated P1 (25 SOG), but a young JM team made surprising adjustments P2 & P3. JM freshman goalie (Bonapace) should be fun to watch. Held up well with total of 46 SOG & successfully stopping 43. Many penalties under new Standards of Play. Perhaps over 20 total. I think 3 of the 4 game goals were PP. The young JM team fared better here. Seems more seasoned varsity players had the harder time making the adjustment with senior #8 Farmington & senior #5 JM each finding themself's in the box 3 times.

Silver Bay

Post by Rocketwrister »

Boy I was shocked to see the score for Blake vs. Silver Bay. I thought Silver Bay was going to make a run through some tough competition this year.

Also Proctor vs. Forest Lake. I know it's early....hope these northern teams "show up" through the rest of the season.

Don't judge Silver Bay to harshly by an early season loss to Blake. Blake is extremely talented and extremely well coached. Not a whole lot of AA teams could make it past Blake.

I think it is a little early yet to get a realistic impression. Forest Lake has a nice team and will be competitive. The Proctor team took alot of early penalties and were down 5-0 before they knew what hit them. It will take a little time for all the teams to adjust to the officiating.
