I figure they deserve some respect for being cool so I throw them in there for fun.

can we expect another Roseville JV state championship this year or are they still not having the tourney because of the great "goat" fiasco?

Having a good JV program doesn't always mean a succesful varsity program, keep that in mind.

OK, am I dense or are we just throwing in a whole state as a JV team?
I went to the U of ID and I gotta say even the club team I played for would get pounded by a decent JV team.

Has anyone seen Eveleth play this year? I played against them the past 3 years and they had a good team. Maybe things have changed.

Just good? They always do that and win 20+ but no one talks about them. That's why I'm wondering if anyone knows about a place with all the JV records stacked together, but no one seems to know.

STA JV won tonight against Breck 10-0. They have an amazing JV team. I do wish that there were more records kept about JV teams. I am sure that there are a lot of JV teams that are doing quite well, even from schools that do not have very good varsity teams. I also think that there should be some sort of end of the year JV tournament. Really it seems that the Schwanns Cup is the big JV tournament and its in the middle of the season when some teams have yet to reach maximum potential. Oh well, STA will win again for JV this year in their bracket. That will make three years in a row.

Only 10-0, I heard different, you sure? Yeah, they should win it, they are amazing for JV. That's 4-0 with 1 GA. Is the goalie really that good, is the D just amazing or what's the deal with that?

STA JV won by 10-0. I went to see the varsity play and so I only saw part of the JV game. The Breck JV team doesn't look to impressive but they are very young. I think their 8th grade goalie played part of the game. But the Breck goalies didn't seem to be the problem. In the third period STA outshot Breck something like 20 to 1. Who knows if the STA goalie is any good, he stopped one shot from the blue line in the last period. The STA team is very good and play together well.
Shuck the puck!!!

Yeah, only 10-0. It seemed to me that in the third period the coaches maybe had told the players that only the defense were allowed to score and that no one was allowed to lift the puck. Its no fun being beat by that much. Its also not really all that fun to win by that much either. Tomorrow STA plays SSP. I predict another one about the same as against Breck. Like someone else said, its hard to tell if the STA golies are very good or not when they dont see many shots come their way. The speed and talent of the STA JV team is sometimes up there with some varsity teams from around the state. It is often still a little ragged around the edges, but JV is intended for learning and preperation to refine skills.
