Doesn't mean anything...

Post by PuckU126 » Wed Feb 22, 2006 1:42 am

Regardless, Woodbury still is a mediocre hockey club. That JV record doesn't mean anything. Let’s see them do that in a few years at the varsity level, when it counts!

The Puck – aka: The self-proclaimed People’s Champion

Puck your right we need to see what they do at an upper level but there is a very good base there at Woodbury. Every team they saw this year they took care of business. Remember this was done w/no Forth or Third Liners from the Varsity. In 95% of their games they either saw the 4th line of other Varsity teams and in some cases the second goalie at the varsity.

Roseville 20-3-2 and we didn't play Tartan, but we beat WBL 3 times and we only lost to Cent. which was crap becuase we dominated that whole game. And woodbury in ot and Duluth East, we blew a 3 goal lead.

curcloin your right Roseville didn't play or beat Tartan but they didn't beat Woodbury in two games and like you stated they lost one of those game . Enough said - Head to Head Woodbury was better than Rosevilles JV this year. In the Conference standings Woodbury 1st , Roseville 2nd , CDH 3rd , WBL 4th, Stillwater 5th , FL 6th . PCG 7th and MV 8th. Hey can't say anything more that is the way they finished in the Suburban East JV Level.

Puck, you may be right, but this is the JV forum and the question was what JV records are, not if that will translate into success at the varsity level.

I think AL's JV team went something like 11-9 or something. Thats good since their team only had 9 players; sometimes less.

When we played them, Virgina's JV team only had like 9 players, they weren't anything special but I'm just wondering how common it is for JV teams to have 10 players and under. After all, isn't JV the future varsity?

Hermantown went undefeated 26 and 0 and they only had 10 players or less most of the time. its not luck either you have to have some type of talent when you go undefeated

Hermantown has a special recipe called the UTB game style.
and it obviously worked. East finally decided to grow a set and play them this year but the varsity is still chicken $&!*
