No. That's two this week. I also took Totino-Grace 3-2 over I'Falls. I also said 6-2 RoZo over Rosemount and that was 6-3.Zinger13 wrote:Even a blind Squirrel finds a nut once in a while

Cass had the other goal for South
My notes from last night had Binder and Cass scoring for South. And the Mayo goal was that Thauwald kid.

Yep
I would have to agree with you on all the goals.
Mayo's goal was one that took South goalie by surprise and me too. The kid came in and circled the wagons around the net all the way back to the point area and snapped a wrist shot off that should have been stopped. I was ripping the kid for not passing the whole time he had the puck then he got lucky and scored.
I could tell on the 1st South goal as it was at opposite end of the rink.
The second South goal was a classic case of muck and grind hockey as it was a scramble in front of the net that got past the Mayo goalie. He should have stopped it since he is a big kid he could have been in better position. He was down prone onthe ice and it popped over his glove hand while he was crouching down.
But yeah I would say that they were sloppy goals. South kid should have had a shut out based upon his play the whole night. Just one of those oops goals on his part. But that will happen with good goalies from time to time. they stop the ones that should go in and then a bad one happens.
Overall South's goalie outplayed his counterpart from Mayo.
That is my recollection as best I can remember.
