STA V Mahtomedi @ St. Croix Rec. Center - Jan 4, 2007

Mahtomedi has given STA a challenge in the past. Will they do it again? Will STA come out on top? Can STA come back from its recent losses?

Ummm, maybe in the distant past. I went to the home one last year and almost left because it was so boring. They won 7-1 and 5-1 last year.

That's pretty low scoring. How was the game? What happened and all, anything cool?

The pace of play was very slow by STA standards for both JV and Varsity giving them a chance to slow things down and concentrate on getting the passes on the stick. Both JV and varsity had the fewest whistles of any STA game so far this year which allowed the game to move along smoothly. Neither team really hit much and only had a handful of penalties. If I remember correctly the shots on goal were 29-19. I could be wrong on that. It was a pretty fun game to watch with the low number of whistles keeping the play moving.
