Right on !!!!
Dan is a great player, good for him! Works hard for the team and very unselfish. The scouts got it right.

Hope he does not end up getting lost in the shuffle at UNH. They have 8 forwards coming in this fall and 10 returning from last year. 18 forwards competing for 12 dressing forwards per game. Should be interesting.
Vranek is very quick and skilled but I have to believe as the youngest player on the team with no juniors experience...

Hopefully he is hitting the weights hard during the off-season.Observer85 wrote:Hope he does not end up getting lost in the shuffle at UNH. They have 8 forwards coming in this fall and 10 returning from last year. 18 forwards competing for 12 dressing forwards per game. Should be interesting.

As far as competition for playing time, it's probably not much different from other D1 programs. Also, injuries can open up spots.

Congratulations - it's great to see another MN player getting an opportunity to play at this level! I would guess he knows best and has been given the proper information to base his decision on. It does seem a bit precarious given that New Hampshire has approximately 9 forwards returning and 8 forwards listed on Heisenberg's list, some of which are not only older/bigger in stature but also have proven themselves at the next level. Best of luck...

I was looking at college stats and thought of this kid. Has not dressed for a game yet. Hopefully he has not gotten discouraged and has any regrets on his decision.breakout wrote:Hopefully he is hitting the weights hard during the off-season.Observer85 wrote:Hope he does not end up getting lost in the shuffle at UNH. There are only a select few who can make that jump from High School hockey to Division I. To make the jump to a higher profile program like New Hampshire is an even higher mountain to climb.

A year in junior would have helped him.
Any chance on a red shirt?
