The Lightning dominated the first three minutes of the game and then Duluth came down and scored. For the next five shifts or so, the Lightning looked like the team that was in their first section final. Then, Duluth took two penalties and the Lightning did exactly what a team needs to do when they get a 5-on-3. They scored twice. Dana Gallop picked up a rebound out front and she pulled it back and stuck it right under the crossbar. Less than 30 seconds later, on the 5-on-4, Molly Arola circled the net looking for someone to pass to. The two defense slid over to cover Emily Erickson and Arola walked it out front. She was extremely patient and got Laura Bellamy to commit. Arola put the puck upperself to make it 2-1. The second period was dominated by GRG, but Bellamy made some great saves to keep it two to one. Emily Erickson was able to tally just over a minute into the third period to essentially seal the game. A shot from the point was tipped home by Erickson for the 3-1 lead. In the final two minutes, Arola rushed the puck in at the end of a shift and was about to just flip it into the zone. At that point, just inside the blueline, she found Guyer streaking to the net. Guyer took the puck in stride and made a great move to beat Bellamy. She slid the puck into the net for her third goal of the postseason, reassuring a Lightning trip to St. Paul. The Lightning will play either Centennial or Coon Rapids at 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the Xcel Energy Center. The Lightning outshot Duluth 28-13 in the game.

boblee, just ignore the 'Kato Dad, who's probably still upset about his team getting blown out by New Prague. Many of us here appreciate your contributions to this forum and support of GR/G hockey in general.

Am a fan from the south, but I think Lightning is going to strike and the new state champ will be from the north. Good Luck GRG play your game!...
