Gaborik's latest injury

Post by skatehardordie » Thu Apr 24, 2008 11:21 am

Here is what the Slovak IHF is saying:

Long awaited news from overseas will not make happy the head
coach nor the hockey fans in Slovakia. Minnesota Wild offenseman Marian
Gaborik will not be present at World Championship in Canada (May 2 to 18
in Quebec City and Halifax). The Final medical exam after the season did
not go well, Gaborik is waiting for more exams.
That was the diagnosis from magnetic resonance imaging and doctors did not
advise him to start at the World Championship and his club will not release
him for the Championship.
In the near term for Marian there are examinations of specialists of hip
joint that should determine next steps in treatment.
Marian is sorry he won't be able to play at the World Championship, he would
like to help his team but his health situation is not allowing him to do
that, said the head coach Julius Supler after the communication with general
team manager Peter Bondra .

You're on drugs. He had his best season as a pro. He had a tough playoff run as has happened to many others before him. He's as talented a player as the Wild have. He didn't produce this year. It's over and done. He may very well have a legitamate injury. Who are you to say? He'll be back looking to improve and if it's not here, it'll be somewhere else. He had a bad playoff, get over it.
