Legion Baseball 2008 Rule change

Post by GopherWild »

There is a new rule for the 2008 Legion Baseball season. Players can play for the team either in their homeland or where they go to school. Examples would be all Hill Murray players would be eligable to play for North St. Paul because the NSP Legion Post is closest to Hill Murray and Concordia-Academy students can play for Rosetown regardless of where they live because Rosetown Post is closest to the school. So to play for NSP, you would either have to live in or go to school in that area. I know 5 Hill Murray kids made the NSP roster.

Additionally, all legion coaches must wear helmets while coaching the bases...

I wasn't aware of that. I didn't see coaches wearing helmets for High Schoool or VFW games. And to think, the 4th district for legion is wood bats.
