Warroad for sure. They are clicking on all wheels right now. It is just too hard to shut down their top line of Nelson, Shaugabay, and Hebel. They also get a lot of production from their second one and third line. Goldsmith has been doing a good job. I predict the final score to be 5-1 Warroad.

I would love to see Thief River Falls go the state tourney. Been sooooo long since they had a squad good enough to beat Warroad. This year has been pretty good, but I don't see history being made this year. Too bad.

They did it back in 2006 in that three overtime thrilling game. It hasn't been to long but no it wont happen this year.

Four overtimes actually. That was a much different situation; the Warriors were the underdogs that year. Forney and Philipp aren't around this time. Gothberg will keep it close but I don't think it will be enough. If TRF wants a chance to win, their going to have to score four goals.

TRF - 2
Warroad - 4 eng

Warroad hands down....by 4 goals.

That 2006 game between TRF and Warroad that went in 4 OT was a thrilling game, and fun one to watch. Forney was good in HS who is now overrated

Michael Forney, Green Bay Gamblers:

44 Games - 24 G, 27 A - 51pts (leads team)

Don't give up on Mr. Forney just yet. Injuries suffered during his senior year slowed him down his Freshman year at UND and he had corrective surgery to fix the problem during his Sophomore year.

Forney: He just never fit in. He needed to drink more and urinate in elevators like other classy sioux players, No telling how far he could have went then.

Thought this was about TRF and Warroad? If this is a "bash the Sioux" thread I am going to stay out of it. I can't imagine Zane Gothberg will be "lit up" unless he has an uncharacteristic off night. He should keep TRF in the game. Should be a good one.

I think Warroad will prevail but not as easily as everyone think. So much more factors into a section championship game than just a regular game. I will take Warroad by 2 with and EN and will predict a top 3 finish at state.

Warroad's goalie is not good.....TRF's goalie is best in the section by a mile...If thief can get by the warroad defense....crown em' Thief River Falls to the X

TRF-5 (EN)
Warroad-3
And what makes you think they can get by the Warriors defense? Pieper, Larson, and Gray are too good to get beat. The Warriors top two lines on the other hand are too talented to be contained. Im taking the Warriors 5-1

Warriors41: thanks you for predicting your game score twice...We didn't get it the first time...who is Gray? I've heard of the other two before. And what makes you think Lucas Dillon, Kent Peterson, and Tyler Aandal can't get behind them? Obviously your from Warroad. I think the THIEF RIVER FALLS PROWLERS will beat the WARROAD/LAKE OF THE WOODS/LITTLE FALLS/ anywhere else they recruit kids from WARRIORS.....;) HOMEGROWN HOCKEY!...and yes i'm from thief river

#5 Carson Gray 6G 11A 17P (according to pointstreak and I belive thats only regular season scoring) 2nd highest scoring defencemen on the team behind Pieper.

have you watched either game played between TRF and warroad this year? that shoudl be enough proof that your boys will have a hard time getting around our solid D-Corp.

Carson Gray as you have already heard is a very talented sophmore defensemen who some on the team have to referred to as the smartest defense they have. And don't give that recruiting crap about Pieper and Sylvester. Peiper moved because he wanted to play with his Warroad buddies. It is one thing if a hockey player moves here and their paretns are handed a job at Marvins; however he commutes from Williams every day and his family still owns a potato farm, that is their job. As for Sylvester, if anyone from his family war recruited it was his sister and not him. Get over it. For the third time, Warriors 5-1.
