They are all pretty marginal. There is a big hype about mayo's goalie (i cant spell his name "Doneghue" or something). But based in last year he is not going to be like a Kangas or anything, maybe just "above average". Rhikus should be alright if he can keep his head on straight, he has potential but didn't show much of anything last year. Thats about it for decent goalies in 1AA.

I thought Z. North went to Shattuck? No longer there? His brother is as a forward, right?

1 of the kids plays goalie and the other one is a defenseman the defenseman i believe is playing at russel stover with pat ryan and the goalie has been playing with faribault since last year

Even though he doesn't have much in front of him and they won't be a factor in 1AA, I'd think Kronenbush from Winona is the best tender in 1AA

....now that Petersen and Lynch have headed to 1A

Rikhus who are guys trying to kid. I would bet that their back up goalie no matter how bad he is would play over rikhus. I saw the great falcons waste him in 2004-05 season
brutal.

top goalies

Post by hockyman35 »

I as well saw donahue play last night and have to agree he played sloppy......didnt seem too great as the hype says let in 2 really weak goals....he can come up with some big saves but not that great with the easy ones... might want to find a new #1 in section 1AA

rikhus

Post by fastplay100 »

rikhus is the goalie from j.m. he looked shakey in the first period against armstrong with two deflection goals, but if anyone watched the third period he had 21 saves(including 3 break aways and a penalty shot and came up huge). He is the reason why they won. I also saw Donehue sat. and he looked alright, nothing above average, but pretty good. The solution to this whole question about best 1AA gaolie is "time will tell". No gaolie in this section is outstanding, sorry guys.

For 1AA goalies donahue is probably the best while peterson from austin is decent but is a basketcase. Rikus could be a decent goalie if he can keep things together and get hot. I dont know about any of the other teams in the section with the loss of kangas century will have a rough time doing anything.

Post by hockyman35 »

Rikhus started off the game like a supermite but then turned it around, so in my oppinion very hott/cold but that is only one game so time will tell........As for donahue maybe the best goalie in the section still not too impressive.......ohh yeah hienekenKid21 people do watch AA hockey so if you dont why are you posting in AA posts just a comment

Rikhus got yanked after letting in 2 goals on 5 shots in the first period tonight. Pirius came in and did a nice job the rest of the way. Rikhus better figure out how to play in the first period, this Brad Radke thing has to end.

My guess now is that Pirius will start from here on out until he shows some kind of weakness. Based on what Neuer has done inthe past I wouldn't want to be in Rikhus's position. Good luck with that whole thing!

goalies

Post by hockeyman30 »

i think that donahue is good----ihave not seen rikhus play yet but will. but donahue needs to be consistent, i dont think may can aford to have soft goals go in every once in awhile to be a contender in section 1AA and the big 9. the goalie thats the best will be the one who stays consistent. but thats my opinion. and i cant judge him on just seeing him play one game but i will see him play again.

rikhus

Post by nhu hockey »

yeah thats probably what neuer will do. its a shame for rikhus who will probably have to wait awhile before he gets to play again. i dont know why neuer does it that way. after all its just high school kids and there gonna have bad games. you just have to show confidence in the kid, i saw him play in the third period of that armstrong game. he made alot of real nice saves to keep the team leading by 1.
