Next Minnesota Wild GM and Coach
Some names that need to be considered for the following positions have to be Pat Quinn, Brian Burke, Chuck Fletcher, Pierre Mcguire and Scotty Bowman
The biggest reach there is Scotty Bowman but imagine him as Head Coach for a year or two to develop the young talent here like Sheppard, Gillies and Cuma, he could work magic espically with a re-signed and healthy Marian Gaborik
Pat Quinn and Brian Burke make the most sense as the next GM, Burke turned the Ducks into a top notch team and hes starting to do the same in Toronto
Pat Quinn is without a job and has connections here in Minnesota and seemingly seems like the best fit, he coached Team Canada in the WJC and lead them to the Gold medal, hes still got what it takes and id love to see him here
My predictions is Pat Quinn at GM and John Tortorella as Head Coach

The five finalists for the GM job are:
Chuck Fletcher, Assistant GM, Pittsburgh
Pierre McGuire, NBC/TSN Analyst
Pat Quinn, former NHL coach/GM
Paul Fenton, Assistant GM, Nashville
Tom Lynn, Acting Wild GM
Strib lists Fletcher and McGuire as favorites for the job right now. Both have interviews scheduled this week.

Seams like a solid choice?
Got to love the youth about him, hopefully that means the players that get scouted have a comfort level him knowing the new NHL.
The High school coaches that feel hit, hit ,hit is old and gone.
The best defense is to score.
Look at the four remaining teams. The gooooon team are all but gone.

Minnesota Wild's On Ice Talent Search
Regardless of who takes over the reigns for the Wild, here's to hoping they do a better job of looking at talent that is right under their noses. For a team that resides in the hotbed of hockey in America to not have a SINGLE PLAYER from Minnesota on their roster is a joke. This was not by accident. Also surprising and disappointing to see that the Wild does not consider either Minnesota high school hockey or college hockey in general as valid recruiting grounds. Consider these facts: The Wild ranked LAST IN THE NHL for former D-1 college players on their active roster in 2008-09 (3 players) while the 16 teams that made the playoffs this year averaged just under 10 players each. Also, one of only two teams in the NHL that did not register their scouts for the Upper Midwest High School Elite League ... which is hosted in New Hope, MN. This is the same league with 32 former skaters in the NHL Central Scouting Top 210 Report for teh approaching June draft.
