Post by Innisfil-lakers »

The Innisfil Lakers Tier II Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club are holding their prospect training camp to get ready for the upcoming season. The Innisfil Lakers play out of the Greater Metro Junior ‘A’ Hockey League (GMHL) and have finished 2nd and 3rd in the last two seasons and look to built on this success. Last season, our club sent 5 players to colleges and 4 players to major junior camps.

The Innisfil Lakers will be in a rebuilding year this season, and are looking for players born in 1994 or older.

The camp begins August 16th and lasts until August 22th. During this time, the players will be in residence and all exclusive.

From this camp, FIVE Junior ‘A’ teams will be scouting and selecting players for their teams in the upcoming season.

Limited Space is available.

Why would anyone play in the GMHL? If you do you CAN'T play anywhere in Hockey Canada and from the bill on the USA Hockey table you'll be suspended for at least one season from USA Hockey and NCAA.

Avoid this league, the top teams are about as good as the middle to top T-3 teams in the States, the bottom is slightly better than the bottom teams in the States (Minnesota Wildcats-MNJHL, Grand Rapids Owls-CSHL).

.
The information you have stated is incorrect.

The suspension had been settled between Hockey Canada, USA Hockey and the GMHL. You will NOT be suspended from Hockey Canada or any other league if you play in the GMHL. What happens is once you play in the GMHL, you can not transfer mid-season to another sanctioned hockey team. Trying out for our team does not suspend or interfere with your hockey career in any way.
