Marshall is 2A

Post by elliott70 »

Unless I missed something just recently, Marshall is 2A along with Denfeld.

Post by EREmpireStrikesBack »

You are not only wrong on the 2A part, but the whole rest of your post. Stopped trying to get guys out of East Duluth? I wouldn't be implying stuff like that, especially with Marshall cause it isn't true. Marshall will be back at State and have a good chance of winning it.

Elk River AA State Champions- 2001 Boys & 2004 Girls

This team only lost two outstanding players but it returns many more. Flaherty's teams always get better and better so dont be suprised if marshall is holding a state championship trophy in March.

jrscout....you have to be kidding me. Marshall will be good, like always but they will not be holding a trophy come March. IF they make it...one and done.
www.rebelhockey.com

Top in the state

Post by scottparker »

DM is a very good program, and they have a way of getting kids to move there from other programs to fill any holes. Whether you like or hate Flahrety, he is a very good coach and will have his team ready. Their only weakness is going to be a couple of head-cases that will need to be taken care of. IF they can get through the section playoffs, then I think that they'll be in the championship game come March. (they have had problems in section finals in the past, last season being an exception..)

Good luck boys, and to all of the 2A teams!!

Sorry I've been locked up for awhile at work. Jail doesn't allow me to play. Whats the story then with him? I've seen him play has good hands but will not play the body. Not to dis Rob he had a good last year but he isn't an allstar like he wants everone to believe he is. The kid has a shot down the line if his old man....well lets just say this ever heard of ST(DDHS hockey parent). A kid will never go no where with a parent like that. Rob has to do his own thing and break the apron string from his old man. No hard feels scottparker I need time away from work and get back into the program. Good luck Rob at DM this year.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... eyes100 at: 11/4/05 3:13 pm

Sorry, I know the feeling..

Yes, Bordson transferred over the DM. This will make DM even stronger, but not sure if it will weaken DD. is he the one that has been given the rap of having a bad temper? I remember last year a lot of guys commented on some of the DD guys and their tempers.
2A

Yes he was one of the players last year with a temper. I dont believe this year will be any different. Once a temper always a temper. Rob is a good player not a great player. If he was that great Marshall would have had him 3 years ago not for his senior year. Lets talk about great players Jake Johnson is a great player from DD. I only saw a couple of games of DD and yes there is a difference between good and great. Rob good Jake Great.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... eyes100 at: 11/11/05 8:00 pm

Short Overview

Post by Ahockeyman »

Duluth Marshall is a good team.

Very strong defense with Jones leading the way, he's is their best D and maybe one of the most solid in the state.

Personally, I believe that forwards Connolly and Mahoney will make the biggest impact and Connolly will be the go to guy. Ritts has a lot of talent but I really don't like the way he plays and I could see him phasing out. And no doubt Bordson will help as well.

Goaltending in Jason Paul will be up and down, with a very good upside. However, his attitude is not the best and hopefully he can get past that and be a major factor this year.

All in all, this squad may have a more difficult time "coming together as a team" than previous years but I think they will, and if they get the right team leadership I believe that can have very similar results to last year.
