You probably know more than most Elliot.

Do they have what it takes to get back to the tourney?
The U invented swagger.

After watching the series Vs. Air Force, I can tell you a few things.

The freshman class will make up for our senior losses in the scoring department. Matt Read is back.

We returned our 6 blueliners, and our 2 freshman D (Jake Areshenko, Fargo Force & Brady Wacker, SJHL) are just as solid as our vets.

It may be a bold statement, but i'm going to say we have a stronger team than last season. My only concern is our tendy dilemma. With Dalton leaving to the B's, we were put in a bad situation between the pipes.

We'll see!

The new goalie looks good.
He is athletic, the D kept a lot of pressure off him against AF.
We will see how he reacts against some WCHA comp.

Getting back to the FF is difficult.
Back to the 16 should be very possible although Niagra will be good.

The FF?????
Depends on the draw and if everyone does their job.
They are a quality team.

Bakala did look good. Like you said, there was not much pressure put on him. Next week against Northern Mich. should be a good test of his abilities as a starter.

The other 2 tendys (Bosch & Dugas) have seen a lot of playing time the past 2-3 seasons in juniors, and are looking good in practice from what I hear.

I think it's going to take quite some time before their at Dalton's level.

Next year should be very interesting starting Weslosky with 3 years of WCHA experience under his belt.

Cannot wait for the rest of the season!

I drive by twice a day - sometimes its at a standstill and then wow!

A friend at KA says they are maybe a week ahead or behind - pretty close to schedule but this is the difficult time - enclosing and waiting on materials and subs.

The Beavers are doing a damn good job representing Minnesota this year in the rankings.
They are a pretty fast team just like last year. Freshmen Jordan George, Brady Wacker, and Jake Areshenko are stepping up to the plate big time!
This is BEMIDJI STATE hockey.

Also a BSU student! 8)

I'm going to be in the cities Saturday for the game cheering on the Beavs!

The stats look pretty good going into this game.

Matt Read is tied for 3rd in the nation for scoring. 14 pts in 8 games.
Brad Hunt is 4th in assists.
Dan Bakala (G) is currently 3rd in nation with 1.4002 GAA and almost a 95% save percentage.

Beavs are playin' unreal right now, hopefully they keep it up and can pull out a W or 2 at the Mecca this weekend

I'm not sure who you guys are kidding, but it will be a sweep this weekend. FOR THE GOPHERS!!!!

BSU won't have the sustained speed to hang with the GOPHERS on the Olympic sheet of ice.

The GOPHER forwards will defiantly be able to exploit the weaknesses of the BSU defense, and you can give the goaltending nod to the GOPHERS as well.

GOPHER SWEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, first of all, I am no kid. Probably as old as or older than you ACTUALFORMERPLAYER.

Second of all, I have no interest in what the GOPHER football team is doing, football is not my sport. I've been involved in hockey for a long long time.

Third of all, I notice that no one else is firing any comebacks at my comment. Must mean that they have nothing to say, or that I might be right. I think it is a combo of both, but I believe it is the latter.

Let’s just face the facts. BSU does not have the talent to keep up with the GOPHERS, especially on the Olympic sheet of ice. Maybe if BSU would be playing (or had played) in a better conference other than the CHA they might have a change. The only reason that BSU is unbeaten thus far is that they do play in the CHA, and they haven’t played any team worth a crap. They will have a nother thing coming to them when they enter the WCHA next year.

I think you will be choking on your dentures (among the usual things you choke on) after this weekend. Gophers have too many distractions right now and are rip for being swept............again. BSU wants to make a statement and reintroduce themselves to the Gopher Faithful that they should not be taken lightly.

You are actually correct (for once i'm guessing) BSU should not be taken lightly, that’s why the GOPHERS will not be taking them lightly. That’s about all that BSU has going for them. You have to remember that they are not playing just another CHA team here. This isn’t Robert Morris or Alabama Huntsville. This is a nationally recognized and respected hockey team. If they want to have any chance at all they (BSU) will need to put one in very very early in the game, if not, it’s all over. Olympic sheet of ice vs. a crappy John Glaus Field house sheet of ice, doesn’t match up well for BSU. I'm also not so sure about the BSU defense being able to control the speedy more talented GOPHER forwards, and if Alex Kangas plays the way he played last Sat, it is OVER!
