In Midget AAA, most teams are named after the major sponsor for that team such as Detroit Belle Tire, Chicago Fury, Marquette Electricians, Russell Stover, Detroit Honeybaked, etc. and depending on how well the team is sponsored or how well the sponsor is willing to give to each team usually depends on the cost. I think the range would be 3,000-10,000 a year because of the travel cost, bus trips, and if a player is housing with a family that would be an additional 200-300 a month.

It kind of depends where you are looking to play...I grew up playing on AAA teams (including Midget AAA for 3 years at the end). I played in Alaska. We were always competitors for Nationals and all that, but we never had any big sponsors like some of these teams mentioned above. However, its possible we had more travelling costs due to the fact that we had to fly from Alaska to go to tournaments.

A typical season would usually cost my parents about $4-5,000
