It will feature a blog, standings, rankings, recruits, highlights, and live scores for DIII hockey, DI hockey, junior college hockey, junior hockey, and high school hockey from the Cities and southern Minnnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. If you have any other ideas on how to make the website more unique or interesting, please let me know.

If you're more interested in covering Iowa and Wisconsin than all of Minnesota hockey, then I'm not interested - won't bother to even look at it.
We have a mutual feeling, SPUD.

Agreed. Comprehensive coverage of MN hockey is a requirement.

I'm only doing so. MN and the cities to start out small. Once I get comfortable to it, I will expand to all of Minnesota and other areas come section time or next year.

With sites like HockeyHub and FollowThePuck around, is there a niche you're trying to fill that they haven't already?

Yeah. I'm going to do all different levels of hockey. I'm going to do player profiles as well. Track players and other things in season. I'm going to try and not make it cities biased like most hockey sites do. I set up a new twitter account for the site, it's @Midwest1Hockey.

Maturity? Okay, I'll bite.

When the other site posts garbage like "LUVERNE WINS DOUCHEBAGS OF THE WEEK FOR DEFEATING WORTHINGTON 16-0 ON THURSDAY. (Shirley was hotter anyway...)".

Is that the maturity you're thinking of here?

I don't call them "Lessers" for no reason.

Created twitter account to put in scores and stats. Midwest1hockey is the name. Created new features to site:

New Features:
Player of the season: You submit a player and I choose the one that is most entered via a poll on here, the website, or sent in by twitter.

Team of the season: Same as above.

Player of the week: I will choose a random player to follow for two weeks and give stats and any updates.

Teams of the week: Same as above.

Interesting! You should try to incorporate these into the forum as well.

How about a weekly, or at least periodic, link to the rankings of the top Tier I teams by birthyear in all of the United States and even Ontario?

Another new feature I thought of is doing weekly radio shows on blogtalkradio.com. Also was thinking about broadcasting games through their by having people call in through the phone to broadcast them if they were willing.

Never hurts to have something new.

Site looks good. Give it time, it'll all come together. I've seen it happen before.
