Virginia and Hibbing in the finals at Amsoil on Wednesday!
I hope Hibbing can finally win the big game! Pretty insane how consistent Hibbing has been in getting to the finals... What is this their ninth straight year?

I believe so. It will be a great game for sure. Wednesday can't come soon enough.

This is the jackets year. They have a stong team, and if they come to play they will walk all over Virginia.

Hibbing

Post by rainier » Sun Feb 27, 2011 11:26 am

I don't know about walking over Virginia, they are too good for that, but Hibbing will win this game in a close one. 9 straight section finals is pretty good, especially in 7A. A few of those years, Hibbing probably didn't belong in the final, but DeCenzo always seems to get them playing their best come playoff time. Hibbing is a VERY young team, and Virginia is a VERY old team, so this might be Virginia's last shot for a few years. I'm a Hibbing fan, I hate Virginia, but if the Blue Devils get to state I will root for them.

Amsmageddon!

Get ready for two nights of hockey insanity as Hibbing faces Virginia and Duluth East takes on Grand Rapids at the new Amsoil Arena in Duluth. These teams hate each other and sparks will fly. Get to Duluth on March 3 & 4 for Amsmageddon!

I think its funny how people thought Central would win 7A since they combined schools but an all range final at Amsoil... it doesn't get much better than that!

Didn't expect Central to win. Just would rather see a different team at state for a change. Was hoping for Marshall to beat Virginia, because Hibbing and Central match up better against Marshall.
