1 AA is going to be a tought section to decide on. JM is 3-0 even though it was against robinsdale armstrong, champlin park, and coon rapids they are unbeaten. Mayo is 1-0-1 beating robinsdale armstrong and tieing a good roseville team. Century if they can prove to have good goaltending they could go away with it again. But don't count out Lakeville North.
Top players would have to be Joe kneopke, garrett grimstead for Century and Nick Canzanello for Mayo.
Top goalies: Donaghue can't think of any other goalies that could take a team to state.
Top line has to be the Century line (Grimstead, Kneopke, Knutson)
My prediction is Mayo vs Lakeville North Mayo winning 3-1 empty net in section championship

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... agles21 at: 12/4/05 9:45 pm

I am positive that Lakeville North will take the section. They had a very nice upset win over Jefferson the other day. I think Lakeville North is for real.

I think it's a little early to be POSITIVE that Lakeville North will take Section 1AA. Don't get me a wrong they had a big win over the Jags, but it was the third game of the season. Sure they seem to be a CONTENDER for winning the section but by no means a guarantee!

Its early but if farmington keeps working hard they can fit in to the mix with lakeville and rochesters teams. they are playing a stronger schedule this year.

david ripley-- hard worker/ great passer/ fast skater.

alex carlson-- great stick handling/ good shot/ good size.

jason davis-- strong def / good hockey head.

and alot of help from the other team mates and two good goalies.

Section 1AA

Post by AGoalieCoach34 » Mon Dec 05, 2005 9:39 am

So far from what i have seen, if JM can figure out their goaltending situation and it sounds like pirius was pretty good in his last start i would give JM the edge over the other Rochester teams. I have not seen Lakeville North although im sure they will have a tough squad. Farmington should be right up there. I would rank the top 6 like this because 7-10 arent really that big of a factor

1.JM - Very strong forwards even without Dunfee, Goaltending is an issue, young serviceable defensive corp.
2.Mayo - Donahue is very good, Canzanello is all the offense, forwards are lackluster.
3.Lakeville North- Dont know anything about them other than they had a very very nice win over Jefferson.
4.Farmington - HOTSHOT said it all (btw is anthony the starter in goal up there??)
5. Century - Rotation of 3 untested goalies is not good, best single line in the section, very very weak defensively.
6. Dodge County - I put them ahead of Owatonna because I think Owatonna is terrible and Dodge County is a better team. Now i know scheduling hurts them a lot but if they played a tougher schedule i think they would definately be a top 6 team in this section. they could suprise someone in the playoffs. And Dusty Barwald could start in goal for any other team in this section and win games for them. He might be the best goalie in the section.
7-10. Like i said doesnt really matter.

Thanks for the comment Gore I appreciate it Im surprised Peterson isnt her yackin it up lol na good kid but yeah farmington looks to be in contention the goalie situation for JM and Century doesnt help...but any of the Rochester teams could be a surprise this section should be exciting with so many variables working for each team and none stick out to be the most powerful

I think that this section will be a battle come playoffs. There is one thing I like so far, and that is that there is not one team dominant over the rest (top five). Last few years with Century, Jm, and Lakeville dominating, nowon could get past the semis. Now its a whole new story!

My choices-
1.)Lakeville North-(They beat the Jags, thats impressive!)
2.)JM-(3-0, good scoring, lack depth, Pirious playing strong!)
3.)Mayo-(tied Roseville, CANZANELLO! "must i say more?")
4.)Century-(Playing good comp, solid first line, have not seen yet, find out next week verse mayo!)
5.)Farmington-(have not seen, many say they are alright, will take their word for it!!!!)
6-10.)I believe everyone else needs to do some recruiting, or else they are screwed!!!!!!

Farmington is very good this year they have 2 good lines that are good at moving the puck and keeping the other team skating and they have some good shooters and a good goalie backing them up should be in contention come playoffs

Yeah in fact i have seen anthony play as i work at the arena down in Kasson. I saw a lot of elite 2 games this fall. One game i saw him play he had to play for away team (I think it was the ND team) as they only had 1 goalie and had played a game earlier that day. He played pretty well if i remember correctly. I also know he posts on some goalie message boards under the name "Ant" which im assuming is his nickname. If he really is only a 10th grader kid has a very bright future ahead of him as from what i can tell he has a good head on his shoulders. Best of luck to you guys up there in Farmington

Zamboni Drivin Fool

DC Vs. Northfield

Post by hockyman35 » Thu Dec 08, 2005 10:00 am

I dont know where the offense went to they were definatly not at the game that is for sure I mean I dont care who you are and waht team your playing you should get more than 4 shots 2 of which were icings that happened to end on goal but yeah JV did alright they lost 5-0 but it was a good effort overall hope your getting better we have a game to go to on the tenth shots
