7 to 5 doesnt sound like Jefferson got outplayed all game, either that or the EP goalie was terrible..

3 of Jefferson's first 4 shots went in; lucky for EP that Jefferson was not able to get off many shots

Anyone know the total shots, and who started for Eden Prairie? Either way it would have been a sophomore so the kid had to be a little nervous.

Shots were 33-25 in favor of Eden Prairie. Not that big a difference.

Jake Gerdes was in goal for the Eagles.

I don't see how you can think I am Jake Gerdes from that? I just happened to know that both goaltenders are sophomores, which anyone could see from looking at their roster, and that goaltending was going to be a big question mark for the Eagles this year.

Maybe he thinks you're Jake's dad, brother, uncle... All jokes aside, it was a victory against a preseason top 20 AA hockey team and the Eagles should be happy with that. After the incredible senior class of 2011 it will be interesting to see how EP does over the next couple years. Although 90% of their scoring is gone from last year, they still have Lee Smith and an excellent feeder program, so while I don't think they're championship contenders this year, I absolutely think they'll be able to surprise people this year, at least on a few nights. Look for them to be back in the top 10 sooner rather than later.
