TRF vs EGF CHAMPIONSHIP!!

Post by Prowlerhockey » Wed Feb 29, 2012 4:04 pm

My choice is TRF,it can be tough to beat a team 3 times in one season though.

This has all the make-up of a classic...I predict Thief's experience will carry them to St. Paul 3-2 OT

I'll pick EGF.

Which will make you happy prowler, since, everytime I pick EGF, they lose.

EGF has to play physical and try slow down the prowlers. They will also have to look to their scorers to step up and bury the puck. Could be a battle of goaltenders, but if shots are flying i say egf wins 5-3... empty netter.

As much as I like seeing different programs get a chance to get down to the X, I'm hoping to see a TRF vs. Breck rematch. That was one of the most entertaining games of the tourney (A or AA).

TRF 4 - EGF 3

TRF 4-2. I think the experience along with just the overall talent, chemistry, and discipline of the team will carry TRF past EGF and onto the State tourny for the second year in a row.

Agreed, the only negative thing in my mind is,how tough it can be to beat a team 3 times in one season, last game they played against eachother, TRF won 3-1 but EGF in my opinion out played TRF in skating and in the physical department,so TRF will have to really pick things up tonight.good luck to both teams!! It will be a hard fought game tonight! I know a news crew will be there, will it be on tv?

I have never really agreed with the whole beating a team 3 times is toughest thing. Yes beating any good team is tough but I think the second game is the toughest. If the two teams would have split during the season it would have been a different story. That would have proven they were closer in skill, but that isn't the case, the prowlers already swept the Greenwave and have proven to be the better team. Now they just need to use the confidence (not cockiness) they should have accumulated in themselves and go out and beat a team they have already proven by their previous wins and they can beat again. Again, barring some fluky goals or the hops going EGFs way, TRF 4-2 in a tough fought battle.
