Jr. Easton RS Issues

The blade on my son's RS cracked and split after about 45 days. Is this just a fluke or are other people having similar issues?

My kid had a half a dozen senior RS's, Easton had him be an evaluator for them. None of the blades ever cracked and split, but he said the blades turned soft after a couple weeks. He loves the sticks though, hopefully he'll get the new Mako's at the state tourney this weekend.
