 I'm guessing just about everyone's brackets are looking like a complete disaster right now. I think only two people had HM and Moorhead winning, and those people had East going all the way.

I have everything in a spreadsheet and may give an update later tonight.

Update through the AA quarters and A semis:

-23 of 55 have everything right in Class A so far.
-0 of 55 have everything right in AA.
-Only 7 people picked a AA champion who is still in the field. All 7 of these people picked BSM.
-4 people have Hill going through to the final; 2 have Moorhead. 11 have Benilde, and 0 have South.

-A shoutout to BodyShots for being the only person to take Lakeville South in the first round. He also has a perfect A bracket and picked BSM to win it all.
-Minnesotan19 is the only person with both AA finalists left, but needs a Hill comeback in the 3rd to keep that up, and does not have a perfect A bracket.

So, our 2012 pick 'em champion is...MNHockeyFan, with 25 points!

He nailed the Class A bracket and picked Benilde to win it all in AA, but Moorhead's win over Eagan gave him the one extra point he needed to edge out 2nd-place finisher wannabe1975, who also had a perfect A bracket and chose Benilde.

The best AA bracket in this crazy year came from Minnesotan19, the only person to get both finalists right. However, some lost points in the A bracket left Minnesotan19 with 22.

Thanks to everyone for playing!

Thanks for hosting, Karl.

I have to admit that I pulled a bit of a "homer pick" with Benilde. Even though I did think they had the talent to go all the way and win it, going into the tournament as an unseeded team they were clearly one of the underdogs.

It sure was a crazy one. One person picked nothing but upsets in Class A (presumably to make some sort of statement), and had a pretty normal-looking AA bracket; had this person done it the other way around, he probably would have won. A random draw probably would have done better than most people in the AA quarterfinals. In the end, an upset-filled tournament will probably help out someone who stayed with his/her own school in the face of longer odds.
