Michael Brodzinski

Post by Tornadoes 2003StateChamps »

Is there any truth that after Michael was given the 5 min major and the 10 min misconduct that his father was able to confront the refs in their locker room and was tossed from the rink for his conduct? This was the game at the Coliseum against Maple Grove.

Yep. Lets not judge his kid by his fathers actions though.

Let's judge him by his decisions "on the ice" - in that game and his performance thus far in the USHL (2 games, 0-0-0, with a -2).

He's also playing on one of the worst teams in the league. Did you expect him to step into that losing environment with no USHL experience and kick ass right off the bat?

The BBB must be based in Blaine. Brodzinski, Bochenski, Bjugstad.

Lets see, HS kid 16 or 17 yrs old, playing in the USHL with 19 and 20 yr old, a DEFENSEMAN and he doesn't have a pt and is a -2 in 2 games. Yeah, lets write him off. You clearly know very little. Kids a very good player and will continue to progress. Committed to the U and turned down Ann Arbor. Can't be too bad.

Witnessed it first hand, pretty ugly scene. Unfortunate that at the Coliseum the refs have to walk through the concourse to get to their locker room. Makes them a pretty open target for verbal abuse, as Mr. Brodzinski demonstrated. He had to be restrained by a couple parents, and the refs were escorted back to the ice for the second period by a pair of police officers. Certainly not what you want to see at a high school sporting event.

That's got to be embarassing for the kid and his family to have to hear about that. The actions by the dad are rediculous, but you can't judge the character of the kid by the actions and character (or lack thereof) of his dad...

You'd be surprised what some parents will do. Minnesota Hockey has had to get court orders prohibiting a few parents from entering arenas in the past. Like you said, it's unfortunate.

I don't know Mr Brozinski but do know a few refs I wouldn't want to mess with.

Hey Shortbus81,
I'll stand by my very few carefully selected words... You can insert volumes into it. You're starting to sound like Mrs Brodzinski. Before we have a pissing contest on who knows more, check the facts and sources behind your supporting statement - not as sexy as it sounds.

I posted a simple statement with simple stats and no opinion. You leaped to the "yeah lets write him off ". That may work with your boyfriend... not here.

Your comments that you're "standing by" are very short-sighted, and the Internet tough guy routine your using to defend them isn't helping.

Headsup -

Go have an argument with yourself somewhere. Takes a real man to come on here and bash a kid. The stats you posted and the comment you stated are irrelevant in my opinion. The kid is a junior defenseman playing in the USHL on a horrible team.

And than you are going to make shortbus comments on a public thread...again, very classy. Keep in mind how many handicapped people are out there. Very nice comment to make in the hockey world with jablonski just getting paralyzed. And to top it all off you are making a refernce to someone's boyfriend on the thread.

You are a classy individual. I am going to guess mommy is very proud of what you have become. Job well done!!
