Schwan's hosting Showcase Tourney for over 200 scouts

Post by frederick61 »

September 13-16, teams from the North American Hockey League (Juniors), teams from the North American Prospects League, teams from the High Performance League (Chicago Mission, Little Caesars,), and seven Upper Midwest High School Elite teams will play a round of league games at the Schwanz.

YHH will have game coverage. The first story has been posted at

I participated in this tournament a few years ago. Great exposure and an excellent opportunity to show some people what you can do!

Saw much of the tourney last year

I saw much of the U16 class last year that had teams from the P3HL or whatever it is. MN put together a team of U16's and they pretty much kicked butt. I know they lost one game as things got really chippy and they lost their focus but other than that it was usually one sided. I think the team went 5-1. I watched some of the NAHL teams as well (This counts towards their season so games were pretty intense.) The thing that I took away was just the huge variety of players from around the country descending on Blaine. Everywhere from Alaska to Amarillo to Pittsburgh.
