I know he is on the small side, but I can't belive Cammarata is only on the C list. The kid has scored at every level.

Cammarata is not just on the small side, he's legitimately small, and I've heard from people familiar with his family history there's reason to think he might not get much bigger. I do think pro scouts sometimes get too hung up on size, but Cammarata is so small that it is a legitimate consideration here.

Plus, I think there might be an additional factor that scouts don't know exactly what to make of him, because you just don't see players like him. Playing in the defensive zone does sometimes seem to be just an afterthought, and his skating doesn't jump out at you that much; he's by no means a poor skater, but it's not like he's so fast that he just blows by people, as you might think would be the case if you haven't seen him play and just knew of his size and his offensive statistics. It's just that his offensive vision and his hands are so indescribably good that he produces points no matter what.

Oops. My bad.

Puts the whole list into question. But, I guess we knew that already.

Cammarata should be higher. Wasn't he the one of the first, if not the first 16-year olds to put up 60+ points in the USHL? In his rookie season no less. He has vision like few others. Although they do have a lot going against them, small players have proven themselves very successful at times in the NHL. If I was a GM, this would be the one small player in the draft that might be worth taking the risk on. He's in pretty good company with that USHL rookie of the year award.

What's the issue? He will be drafted!! Who cares what round it happens in, drafted is drafted. He (like all of these kids) still have a long way to go to be NHL ready. He will have the ability to prove himself at the NHL level when he gets to his first training camp. This seems to be a non-issue here.

2 of the 27 skaters listed are from Cambridge-Isanti. Part of a VERY talented group they had go through there.
