Agreed. East doesn't look dominant at all. Cloquet is having big time struggles defensively. Forest Lake has some talented forwards, but they only have one quality win so far and a couple UGLY losses. Rapids had one bad game, otherwise they've been dominant in the other 5. Andover may have turned the corner after beating Eden Prairie. Elk River looks solid up and down their lineup. This section looks like it has 5 teams that should be ranked anywhere from 9 down to 20. Then Forest Lake not too far behind that. Seeds 1 and 2 will be highly coveted this year. This section has will be more difficult to seed than previous years as Duluth East seemed to always cement themselves as top seed then it was just about 2-5, usually a clear #6. 3 huge games on Saturday will begin to make things a little clearer.MrBoDangles wrote:Looks to be wide open..
Right now I would rank them like this based on results so far (not seedings):
t1. Grand Rapids
t1. Elk River
3. Duluth East
4. Andover
t5. Cloquet
t5. Forest Lake

The North took all 3 games yesterday. What are your thoughts on how 7AA looks now. Forest Lake just continues to plummet with that horrible 7-1 loss on their home ice to CEC. Rapids and East look like they will be competing for the top 2 seeds and I'd put ER just ahead of CEC in the 3/4 battle. Andover at 5.
