Scorekeeper Top 25 - The EarlyMATH before the afterMATH

Post by scorekeeper » Wed Dec 05, 2012 1:18 pm

For those who prefer the unbiased mathematical rankings, here are the Systematic Combinatorics for Objective Ranking Enumeration or SCORE Ratings for Minnesota HS AA Rankings through games played December 4/2012.

Too early to lean heavily on these and there are some obvious anomalies, but the picture is beginning to shape up. Once teams get 5 results in each, the picture gets real clear and once teams start getting 10 results in, the math gets razor sharp in its accuracy.

(NOTE: Some teams are tied. I didn't bother grouping teams that were tied. Not really worth it this early.)

Here's the earlyMATH.

BSM should be #1 until they lose. Returned almost everyone from last year and got some nice transfers in. Until they are beat, they should stay on top.

Mathmatical standard deviation of error early in the season is enormous. Case in point BSM. Totally agree, while not mathmatically the case, they are still #1.
