Dylan Parker at Duluth East. 94-95% save percentage and 1 GAA. Was an alternate for Nationals for Advanced 15 last year. Have seen him play a few games this year and seems pretty solid. Big shoes to fill to replace jeanetta next year but should do well for East.

Buddy of mine was at the Apple Valley-Lakeville North game last week - said the JV Panther goalie had a shut out against AV - 30 shots - looked really solid. Checked out his stats - 4th shut out - .917 SV% - name is Shawn Hart - may be one to watch.

A bit overrated. He's 88 percent with a 1.8 GAA, which is not the best of the JV goalies.

Is harvener the one with the white or black helmet?

End of 2010-2011 JV season:

Gangroth (Delano) - 5 SO, SV% - .915, GAA - 1.73, 13 GP, SOG - 270

Hart (Lake. North) - 5 SO, SV% - .919, GAA - 1.73, 13 GP, SOG - 260

Gangroth leads Wright County conference
Hart leads South Suburban conference

Both of these are definitely goalies to watch - I would give Hart the edge in that South Suburban a little tougher in competition

Lots of other good goalies out there as well - these 2 seem to be the best.

Best I saw:

Hart-North
Harvener-Tonka
#31-EP
Benjamin-Edina
Parker-East

Based off of watching, not stats!

Hockeydad - good point. Stats don't always tell the story (and aren't always accurate). Good to know you actually saw these kids play. Should be interesting to watch these young men in their future ventures with hockey.

What about it? One of the better games i went to this year was a EP-Tonka JV 1-1 goalie battle

?? Are you "dissing" JV players? The majority of good high school players went through a JV program - it's great to watch them develop. Nothin' wrong with JV - seen plenty of good JV games in my time.
